Debobblers/shavers for knitwear - any good? safe for cashmere?

This sort of thing

Any thoughts? I have a lovely cashmere sweater that's bobbled quite badly so I thought about getting a little bobble-shaving gadget but am scared of wrecking my jumper...

I have one of these - it is not very effective and I am now using a comb style one on my cashmere instead.
Feels like I might shave all the cashmere away but I had no choice as it was looking so scrufffy.
Will watch with interest for any better advice!

I would use a cashmere comb on a cashmere jumper rather than the one with a little motor. I have both, the wilco one is great for sorting out chunky knit jumpers, but cashmere needs something a little more gentle. Brora sell little cashmere combs.

I just pick the bobbles off my cashmere by hand when I iron them.

I wouldn't put anything mechanical near them.

I have used my husband's hair clippers on badly bobbled items Blush

Thanks all Thanks it seems that John Lewis have wool/cashmere combs so I will have a look there tomorrow. Yay, an excuse to go and roam the haberdashery department! Grin
