Is there a 'right' length of hair?

I'm not keen on too long hair.
Have just noticed my own is too long for my age. Or doesn't suit me. Or something.

But if I cut it to, say, chin length will I be highlighting my necky chin area? My necky chin area is NOT my best bit.

It's long and straight and thin and fine and just sort of hangs there morosely. I did have layers at the front but they're growing out which adds to the droopy tired effect.

I quite fancy a fringe but I have a cow lick.

What to do??

Is a Victoria Beckhamish longer at the front, shorter at the back sort of idea too naff?

Fine hair can look straggly if long. I found having highlights and a regular cut to keep it looking tidy meant I could wear it past my shoulders. Must of the celebs you see with long hair are wearing extensions to bulk it out or make it longer. A longer graduated bob (shoulder length) is a good place to start. You can still put it up and if you are feeling self conscious about your chin area adding a bit of height or using thickening products (I use the Klorane vitamin B shampoos) can help.)
