Right, I've got a normal flat kinda foundation brush but apparently stippling ones are the business. So which one is perfect? Ta muchly x

I prefer the flat brush as I like a little more coverage. Have to say I really like the doublewear.

I like the real teckniques one - the expert face brush

It's Real Techniques spelt normally! Available on amazon and in Boots

It is, sorry - typing when half asleep!

Thanks! Well, I've tried it applied with fingers and with loose powder over t zone - lasted well. I looked like I'd been at work all day but in much better nick with the DW on.

Yesterday did applied with fingers and no powder, lasted ok but definitely shiny by tea time

Today am trying applied with foundation brush (flat one, slightly dampened with water) and a light dusting of powder. I think, based on how it looks at first, this is my favourite. It looked a little bit heavy before. Looks smoother now. I'm still using the sample the lovely lady gave me but I am definitely buying some. It's lush!!

I have the MAC versions of both types of brush and have to say I don't really bother with the stippling brush any more. I don't like heavy foundation at all but the stippling brush doesn't seem to get any on! So I use the flat brush with a small amount of foundation and that is lovely.

Previously had the Body Shop flat brush. It was ok but not as good as the MAC one as the tip wasn't precision.

I always use the Real Techniques Stippling Brush with ELDW - it gives good coverage but doesn't make the finish look heavy, and it makes the foundation go further as the bristles don't hold onto much liquid. However, I don't stipple with it to start with - I use circular motions to apply a thin layer, then stipple anywhere that needs more coverage.

I use the Real Techniques Powder Brush for finishing powder every time as it's great for applying a very thin and subtle layer of powder, and I really like the Real Techniques Expert Face brush for every other foundation but it just gives too heavy/obvious a finish with ELDW for my taste.

I have the pout airbrush for liquid foundations, it's good.
But the beauty blender sponge is the absolute cats pyjamas for applying liquid foundation or BB creams.
