They have fine hair but lots of it? I can't work it out. Do they mean fine hair that is long? Because if not, then wouldn't 'fine but lots' mean 'thick'? Or am I being thick :) I'd describe mine as fine but long. So I have lots of length.

Thin strands but billions of them.

I have "fine but lots of it" hair. Ie flat as a pancake. Wink

QueenCadbury · 05/03/2013 18:58

Yep, me too donkey!

MarshaBrady · 05/03/2013 19:00

Find hair lots of it here. Tangles like crazy.

Yotamsrazor · 05/03/2013 19:05

Oh right. So it's about the thickness or otherwise of the strands of the hair. That makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yes, fine strands of hair but not thin hair. If the hair strands were thicker it'd be an astonishing mane but as it is it just looks 'normal'.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 05/03/2013 19:27

That's me, fine hairs but lots of them.

JemimaPuddle · 05/03/2013 19:59

Mine is fine AND I don't have a lot. Boo :(

Eliza22 · 06/03/2013 08:36

Fine hair. Lots of it. Mine's thick collectively but fine individually. Poker straight and if cut well, requires only a bit of putty stuff to stop it looking too bouffant.

Pics on profile.

Another fine hair but lots of it person.
It's a bugger as it's also frizzy curly whilst not being properly curly Angry

I'm very Envy of my sister's thick hair.

Yotamsrazor · 06/03/2013 08:51

Well now I know the meaning of thin hair but lots of it, I think I can safely say I've got thin hair but NOT lots of it. Before he succumbed to male pattern baldness, one of my brother's had hair like my Dad's - really thick, black and wavy/curly. my other brother and I got my Mum's - flyaway, fine, straight and brown. Not fair.

I'm another one with fine hair but lots of it! It's slightly wavy so I've actually got quite a bit if volume too! It went quite thin after I had the dc though (is back in now, thank god!). My dh has very thick hair - it constantly looks like he's been in the sea, no shine, you move it and it just sticks like it's got stuff in it, even though it hasn't.

TrampyPants · 06/03/2013 10:08

another one here. it can get really flyaway and can be hard to keep in a hairband.

Just checked your pic Travelin. Yes, mine is similar only maybe thinner. Yours looks groomed and elegant, whereas when I had mine in a similar length bob it just looked scrappy and scruffy. Which is why I grew it and put it up, supplemented with a clip-in ponytail. Am now exploring clip-in extensions. I bought iron supplements to try encourage more growth/body but was allergic to them and came out in a rash on my legs and muscle pain.

Travelin if mine looked as good as yours in a bob I'd have it cut again but it doesn't work. I can't have mine down now it's long as it really does just hang there like a load of rats tails. Up was really workable until it started becoming more transparent. Oh for lovely thick locks.

I have the opposite of fine hair - coarse and wiry. And thick. So lots and lots of coarse, wiry hair. Hmm Thank God for BBH.
