I want better skin - help me!

I'm 28 and have always had crap skin. I wouldn't say I have acne but my skin is blotchy, red and prone to breakouts. My pores are huge and my sensitive skin never looks clear, bright or smooth. I've been reading about the alpha H liquid gold but wonder if this would suit my skin or is more aimed at slightly older skin? Anyone got anything they can recommend? I'm fed up - I just want to look, dare I say it...radiant?! Help!

I've recently found a lovely moisturiser - I bought it because it's SPF 30, but it's made a real difference to my skin. It's the Bodyshop's Vitamin C moisturiser.
Other than that - tons of water and fruit, and exercise makes my skin glow too :)

My skin has improved hugely by using REN glycolic peel mask once a week, followed by the REN detox mask once a week on the next day. I really rate these products - my pores are much smaller.

I would also agree that clariosonic or similar make a big difference.

I would say, do not follow anyone and everyone's advice as all skin is different!

Could you afford seeing a beautician for a facial? she will give you advice. You have to find a good, recommended one, as some are just girls who slap on random stuff.

Also, often skin is a reflection of how well you are, do you get enough fresh air And exercise? Do you smoke/drink? Eat oily fish occasionally? Eatnuts and healthy stuff? Get enough sleep?

Another vote for the Cane and Austin pads. I even tried cutting them in half to make them last longer and justify the cost. They are pricey, but they're the only thing that settled my implanon induced acne. Pregnant now and it's back, but I just can't justify the pads when we're supposed to be saving.

You need to read caroline hirons beauty mouth blog

www.beautymouth.com/

Loads of tips for skin issues.....look at her cheat sheets! Also great recommendations for products that really work. I would also suggest buying off qvc if you can as products can be returned if they don't suit!!!

Looks like I'm a bit late to this.
Very similar skin to yours & I LOVE Alpha H, it's a fab range & everything I've tried has really worked. My favourites are balancing cleanser, balancing moisturiser, SPF 50 day cream and the intensive night repair serum,

I think Moresnow is right. If you have problem skin get good advice and save yourself money in the long run. Failing that, I would focus on careful gentle cleansing with a waxy cleanser (Eve Lom, Liz Earle or Emma Hardie) removed with a muslin cloth soaked in hot water and wrung out, no make-up and a very gentle moisturiser for a few weeks. Then try out products, one at a time or you won't know which ones are working for you, and for enough time to see the benefits.

I've been using some Aveda tourmaline samples recently and I swear they have made my skin glow! Shame I can't afford the full size product at the mmoment
