What do you do with your false tooth/teeth overnight?

Tomorrow I will be having a tooth out and then 2 teeth fitted onto a plate. Really don't like the idea (thinking comedy false teeth in glass of water bedside table etc) but no other options.

So what do I do with it at night? Can I just keep wearing it always? Does it need to be kept wet/in water (sterilising product?) to prevent becoming brittle and snapping?

I have my front four teeth on a plate. If I do take the plate out I just leave it on the bedside table and sterilise in the morning when I wake up however I'm so so paranoid that something will happen to it while I'm sleeping that in reality I only really take it out morning and evening to clean it. Dentist advises that if I can I should leave it out overnight to minimise risk of infection but understands that this isn't always possible. I've had it for a good few years now and haven't ever had an infection. I'm not sure what I think will happen to it while I'm asleep but my biggest fear is losing the plate as I don't have a spare.

Would advise leaving out at night and soaking in steradent.... But if vanity prevents this then give denture extra good scrub when you ckean your teeth . Soaking steradent (3 minute version) whilst showering in morning instead.
Fitting surface- ie plastic that contacts roof of mouth prone to yeast/fungal colonisation as moist and damp hence need to clean well.
Teeth more prone to decay whilst in place as traps sugars against them- avoid sugar in tea coffee especially and sugary drinks.
Gums more probe to inflammation as plastic sits around them- electric toothbrush, excellent oral hygiene.
After initial 3 months ish healing period ask about other options tore place missing teeth.
Not much time sorry- hope this helps!

My mum has a red pot with steradent in it . You can't see them and she leaves it in the bathroom. My dad leaves his all round the house .. !
