me too - no idea what to do with them - be interested to know how to get rid of them?

One of my brother's friends had hers removed or treated -some sort of procedure. I have no idea what.

BUT, all I can say is that I observed her face closely after she told us how much she was spending on it Shock and I honestly don't think it made any difference. At all.

So if you have more money than sense you could find out about something like that?!

Have you been to a make up counter and asked them what works? Worth a try and some free samples.

Disguise with Maybelline whipped mousse foundation. This one gives great coverage without being cakey. Cameo shade might be worth a try if you are pale and cool.

A tiny amount of Clinique redness solutions gives good coverage on my red nose days.. Although I've had it so long I don't know if it's still available.

Bare Minerals Bisque concealor - yellow based so excellent at disguising!

Lurk.

And offer this. As advised by a trip to the pharmacy looking for a face wash that would leave my face without the 'stripped' feeling.

I've tried it for a few weeks now, and while it hasn't removed the thread veins, it has left my face feeling less stressed. Any help?

They certainly can be dealt with. A decent dermotologist will be able to zap them with a laser. The light causes the vein walls to collapse in on themselves. I've had mine done - horrid veins on side of nose. Some only need treating once and vanish forever (the treatment is instant). A couple have needed doing twice in say five years then went away forever. But one stubborn one just recurs by forming a new vein a couple of mm over, so that's been re-treated several times. It's a nuisance, but it's definitely worth persisting with. It is not expensive at all.

So, it's worth considering treatment if you want to get rid of the veins, but personally I would not allow a beauty therapist or nurse to do this on me - it's quite legal for them to treat you, but if someone is putting a laser near my face I want it to be a fully qualified doctor, who does this sort of thing all day, every day, even if it costs a bit more. But that's personal choice obviously. I know someone who pops down to a beauty salon to have her veins zapped at lunchtime and she's delighted with her results ....

I had a couple of these on my cheeks and rosacea

I had a test session of Laser treatment and it basically got rid of them. I think I was lucky as sometimes it takes a few goes.

I still have some round my nose which I would go back and get lasered if I had the money, but as I don't I use a BB cream which seems to cover them well, plus Avene anti-redness cream (it's a treatment/moisturiser not a colour cover up). Plus avoiding caffeine and booze seems to help. Joyless, but it reduces the redness for me.

bare minerals summer bisque works well for me.

I fell down the stairs sometime back and had a posh evening event to attend. I went into House of Fraser (took the sunglasses off) and asked the make up assistant if she could do anything with this !

I was amazed and bought some to take home. Never looked back.
