Hi,

I have just booked to get married in a couple of weeks and wanted a foundation and powder all in one (if they still exist?) for wearing on the day, so I can touch up easliy.
We are on a very tight budget, does anyone know of a half decent one that they could recommend ?
Thanks XX

I wouldn't recommend an all in one as they can look too powdery in photos. Just the same as certain concealers make your eyes look terribble.

I would suggest something like bare minerals.

Do you usually wear foundation on a daily basis?

I rarely do - and when I do it is the Bare Minerals stuff, or more recently a BB cream.

I got married almost 5 years ago, and as I don't usually wear much make up I just did my face with the Bare Minerals - and treated myself to a nice new mascara and eyeliner. Bit of lippie and that was it.

I hate hte feel of heavy foundation - and wouldn't have looked like myself either.

The bare minerals stuff is def worth a go. They have concessions in the likes of Debenhams, House of Fraser (?). You would only need the foundation powder - don't need all the concealers, 'finishing powders' on top.

It isn't cheapy cheap, but will last you a while. I daren't say how long I have had mine. Too long.

I also hate the feel of foundation and went for Armani foundation (not cheap but gives and amazing velvety finish).

F&B, to directly anwer your query, the Body Shop do an All In One Face Base powder foundation that's £14. Don't buy online, check the shades in the shop, they are very pale. Worth doing a test run with it, and take some photos (even if it's just with your phone!) to see how it looks. If you have to touch up, apply it sparingly with a brush. Get a cheapie brush from Superdrug or Aldi, one with a stubby handle so it can fit in your purse. Applying with a sponge can be a bit heavy looking. Unlike some others, TBS one doesn't cake and it's a very good product for the money, but I would urge you to trial your routine carefully prior to the big day. Best wishes for a wonderful day :-)
