I need a frock for a Sports Award Dinner. Do I go LBD route or Footballers' Wives glitzy?

It is the UK Boxing Sports Award Dinner (think TV Sports Personality without the cameras)
I am 5'2" and size 16. Will be wearing Bridget Jones style pants and Super Nork Scaffolding.
I would love to be elegant, have seen a couple of dresses in Principles, but not 100% sure - what do you think?

why are oyu to do wiht boxing

DH is a steward with Boxing Board of Control. Can be seen most Friday nights on Sky Sports with a suit and a clipboard in the blue (or red) corner.
I am token wifey. Usually try to avoid dos, but this one includes weekend in Cardiff at nice hotel.

Love the dress. What accessories have you got?

I'm very nosy...

pewter coloured leather kitten heeled slingbacks, bronze jewelled purse, earrings in similar bronze colours and pale blue diamante cuff.

Oh and strapless nork contraption and spanx, athough the cut of the dress is very flattering so Spanx may not be required. I need a shoulder cover-up now. hmm, jacket or pashnina??
