What the hell should I be wearing with these measurements?

Trying to figure out which of the various body types I'm meant to be to make the ordeal of replacing my post-baby wardrobe less horrific. (DD is 15 months so it's getting ridiculous.) Bust is 37", waist 30" (with a saggy belly underneath), hips 37", and I'm 5'5". According to some random online body shape calculator, that makes me 'straight'. But I'm wearing a 28H nursing bra, FFS, I'm not that bloody straight up and down! Hmm

Anyway, any suggestions for what might suit my apparently waistless shape? (I'm a SAHM and pretty low-maintenance, so I have little desire to be wearing wrap dresses or stuff like that. Trying to look hourglass seems odd if I don't want to put the effort into the hair and makeup that goes with that, iyswim.) Many Thanks in advance!

Have a look here
sounds like you would be am x or an 8 shape (both hourglass)
Anyway, whatever you work out the site has some good ideas for shapes of clothes.
28h doesn't sound straight up and down to me! (nursing bra 30h/hh here) I find it's difficult to flatter my hour glassy shape while also allowing boob access.

Are you my twin????
I'm almost exactly the same measurements as you. If you look at me front on, I suppose a column is right but side on I have a VERY distinct S shape and look so far from a column it's laughable!

I'm very far from a fashion expert, but tend towards the advice given to the busty as that's what helps give me a streamlined shape. So no high cut tops! I never tuck stuff in, because I have no particular waist to show off and go for skimming a couple of inches elbow waistband
Jeans have been my own particular nightmare but this week I happened upon the M and S body shape range (no laughing please, fashionistas!) and found the Eva to be the first ever that actually fits me properly. straight leg, not skinny but at least they dont fall off! Bonus is vanity sizing makes me an 8 Wink and the £25 price tag is cheap too

Thanks for that link, ellangirl. Looking at the photos she posted, I think I'm probably closer to a V-shape - my shoulders are a bit wider than my hips, my waist is only barely there, and I do tend to look like a wrestler whenever I wear skinny strapped tops. And yes, trying to find clothes that fit under the norks while allowing access is a chore!

Whoknows, I try to avoid high cut tops, but it's hard when so many of the jumpers and tops I like are crew necked. I've realised that I'm never going to look like Tilda Swinton or Sofia Coppola, but I do really like that kind of minimalist chic, and the style advice for women with ample boobage seems to be the exact opposite - that you should either dress like Dita von Teese or like an American housewife, 'Real' or frumpy. (I mean, I am a housewife in America, but I don't want to look it, you know?! Grin)

Right, been looking at a couple more links about body shape, and I'm actually more like an H or rectangular shape (ie thick waisted!) But I see conflicting advice as to how you should dress if your waist doesn't dip in much - some saying to create a waist with wrap dresses, big belts, etc, and other sites saying the opposite, ie drop waists and empire lines to skim over the godforsaken area. Confused Hoping for some advice from real people rather than from US websites with mumsy outfits!
