Not a bed jacket that my granny would wear. I'd love a nice soft cardi but what I like is £150 from white company and cannot be justified!

how about a jersey tracksuit - something nice and soft

waitingtobeamummy · 27/01/2013 20:39

I had a lovely loose knitted snuggly cardy from primark that I wore when I was in. It wasn't intentional but dh gas to pack my bag in a hurry and forgot dressing gown. It looked really nice and was v comfy. What kind of style are you looking for? What's the white company one?

NorbertDentressangle · 27/01/2013 20:41

I've got a really soft hoodie from White Stuff that would fit the bill.

Wool might be too warm so maybe something lighter? Something cotton?

gregssausageroll · 27/01/2013 20:42

I can't link as I am on the iPad but it is the hooded cardigan. I was in primark today getting new jammies but forgot to look!

try Gap loungewear.... I did several months bed rest in hospital when I was pregnant and had a couple of great cardi / cardi gown things from GAP.

gregssausageroll · 27/01/2013 20:44

Gap! Great idea. Thanks.

M&S have the right kind of stuff. Don't spend a fortune on it in case it gets spoiled or lost! It's better to take coloured items in to hospital (not white / cream) so they stand out from bed linen and nurses like me don't whip it away with the bed linen :)

This is made of the softest fleece - I call it my snugglie

I like woolly shawls -- they usually have some in Debenhams. Useful for night feeds too.

emsyj · 27/01/2013 20:54

Matalan had some zip up hoodie type loungewear recently too - but have you checked how hot the hospital is??? The one I was in was like a fecking oven and you couldn't have paid me enough to wear a long sleeved top in bed. I wouldn't buy more than one, if you find you need it you can always send someone out to buy a second.

FamiliesShareGerms · 27/01/2013 20:57

M&S or Gap zip up hooded top and some slipper socks

Abigail9580 · 27/01/2013 21:01

M&s has a lovely fleecy jumper in their dressing gown section. I got one from Christmas and have lived in it!!

Sonotkylie · 27/01/2013 21:17

Hush sale?

GwendolineMaryLacey · 27/01/2013 21:20

Agree with emsy. Soft trackies and a vest top. When I've been in I've felt more like wearing a sodding bikini...
