Can you recommend a concealer?

I've always used Rimmel's hide the blemish and put it under my eyes, in the little hollows under my mouth and around the edge of my nose and then just stick a tinted moisturiser on top. However, as 40 approaches it just doesn't seem to be doing the trick any more. The dark circles under my eyes aren't too bad (youngest DD is starting to sleep a bit better these days!) but the hollows under my mouth are looking more pronounced. What concealers do you use that work or are there any new wonder products I don't know about that I should try?

Like you I use hide the blemish as love it but it's not great at covering the dark circles. Yesterday I bought max factor master touch which I wore last night and it seems to be good.

On another note I also bought max factor eye brightening mascara as there was an offer on. This I don't rate so highly!

I really like Estee Lauder's concealer i a little dark blue tube. It goes a long way (one tube lasts about 2 yrs for me!). It isn't powdery and hides fine lines too. Deffo worth testing as I swear by it!

*In a little dark blue tube... Blush

NickECave · 27/01/2013 16:31

How much is the Estee Lauder one stuffing? I don't mind spending more than I currently do on the Rimmel but not £££s.

Maybelline dream Lumi is good. On one of those clicky pens

INeedThatForkOff · 27/01/2013 17:17

I use No7. I have Clarins and Liz Earle clicky one but I find they give less coverage and don't last.

cathyandclaire · 27/01/2013 17:18

I really like the Barbara Daly ones from Tesco... I think the colours and coverage are better than any of the others (including lots of expensive ones) I've tried

Onlyconnect · 27/01/2013 17:19

I echo stuffing not sure how much it costs, probably about £20, but Estee Lauder one in blue tube is good. Lasts me at least two years.

For under the eyes I have a Bobbi Brown palette which has a cream and a powder. I use a colour corrector as a base, then the concealer, then the powder to set.

CoteDAzur · 27/01/2013 17:31

Benefit for under the eyes. It is much better than YSL's Touche Eclat.

bootsycollins · 27/01/2013 17:31

I've just discovered bb cream, it's amazing! I use the Garnier one and its amazing.

AndFanjoWasHisNameO · 27/01/2013 17:36

Estée Lauder double wear concealer-just been given it as part of a gift set and it is fabulous!
I've always used Rimmel too with touché éclat to highlight but this is lovely, really creamy and you only need a tiny dot so even if its pricey, it should still work out ok.

discorabbit · 27/01/2013 17:40

smashbox camera ready, bit longer lasting than the rimme, but same consistency. can't get on with the liquid ones.

twentythirteen · 27/01/2013 17:49

MAC, amazing stuff, it hides anything.

Foggles · 27/01/2013 17:52

Rimmel's Hide the Blemish is great for spots but far too drying for under the eyes.

I use No7 Instant Radiance Concealer. It's about £13.00 but I often use my £5 voucher off.

I prefer it to Touch Eclat which I didn't get on with.

LadyFace · 27/01/2013 19:20

Smashbox or Mac. Smashbox is more watery whereas Mac is thicker. Both have good coverage.

SilkandSteel · 27/01/2013 19:29

I like the Bourjois Healthy Mix one - available in a tube or clicky pen type.

FrazzleRock · 27/01/2013 19:37

For under eyes I use Bare Minerals Stroke of Light Eye Brihtener
I thoroughly recommend it. It's the best I've ever used (and I've tried a few!)

Mollie272 · 27/01/2013 20:24

I really like Clinique's airbrush concealer for under my eyes

dontyouwantmebaby · 28/01/2013 01:34

Benefit Boing concealer. Lasts for absolutely ages. Covers everything. A really good buy (and I'm not generally a fan of Benefit, apart from their fab badgirl mascara)...

Failing that, there's maybelline stick concealer which is pretty good but you have to act quickly once you've applied otherwise it cakes up.

touche éclat or the clarins version of it work well too but are a bit more £££.

EllenParsons · 28/01/2013 02:13

Under eyes I like benefit erase paste, Laura Mercier secret concealer or Estée Lauder double wear concealer

For blemishes I use Laura Mercier secret camouflage.

I really like all of these and would recommend.
