Hair washing issues! Suddenly it appears I have a problem- any advice or hair experts?

I don't have greasy hair but for some strange reason the under section of my hair seems greasy even immediately after washing it. I use aveda scalp benefits as it does wonders for my scalp but over the last few weeks I have noticed that whilst the rest of my hair is soft, shiny and clean after washing the underneath section just at the roots is greasy.

I massage my scalp and try to dislodge any dirt or build up (yuk); I only put conditioner at the very ends of my long hair. I rinse it for ages.

What am I doing wrong?
Can this problem be sorted?

Tip your head over to shampoo the back sections, my hairdresser always spends ages doing the underneath bits.

I had this problem, needed a deep cleansing shampoo. Could be just product build-up.

I've had this for a while and it's driving me mad. Just started suddenly even though I hadn't been doing anything at all.

I've tried various 'balancing shampoos' like Aveda, Sheaskopf and the Herbal Essences one. It's not just the shampoo alone - I need to use a very light conditioner, or none at all otherwise it starts again. The best thing seems to be baby 2 in 1. But even when I find something that works, the next time it will be greasy underneath again. Aaaaargh!!!!

Never feels like this after the hairdressers though so I must be doing something wrong Hmm

Yes that's the thing, I was at the hairdressers last week and my hair stayed clean for 4 full days! I don't understand it Sad

I feel like I can't wash my hair properly. So frustrating when I want nice soft bouncy hair!

I change my shampoo and conditioner every so often to prevent too much build up. Maybe your hair stayed clean for longer because the hairdresser used different products on it

is this the one you used?

Would definitely try it if you think it's worth it!

Are you using shampoo that is too oily? When I lived in Brazil, all local shampoos were designed for coarse long hair and my hair felt actually dirtier after a wash than before. Ditto with the conditioner.
