Enough of all this parenting stuff: how about sharing our top beauty and fashion tips?
For example - are you large in the nork dept? Can't wear horrid poky wonderbras? The Inferno bra by Panache gives you killer cleavage, great support, is very comfortable and only costs £23!
And another - Kerastase shampoo and conditioner is expensive but it actually works!

Blinc mascara is fab - the only one I've found that doesn't smudge beneath my eyes as the day goes on. It dries into little "tubes" around your lashes and comes off with warm water and a little pressure, so more horrid oily eye make-up remover.

welshmum · 25/04/2006 14:19

Clarins hand cream is fab - really softens up the skin with no nasty grease left over.

brimfull · 25/04/2006 14:23

liz earle cleanse and polish and skin repair moisturiser is absolutely fantastic. My skin has improved loads since I've been using it,no longer need to wear foundation.Really noticed the difference when I ran out.

Twinkie1 · 25/04/2006 14:30

Only put mascara on your top lashes - really makes you look like a babe!!!!

Use Touche Eclait every day.

Use Pink blusher as it makes you look younger and fresher!!

Put lots of sun block on your chest - old women with crepey decollatages (sp???) look vile!!!

If you accentuate your eyes wear just lip gloss or a light lip stick or you will look like a harlot (really!!)

Same with showing a bit of leg - show either leg or boobs but never both!!

As I am skint and can no longer afford my beloved Clarins Multi-Active moisturiser, I have found that Olay Multi-Radiance is pretty damn good and for a quarter of the price. Gives you a lovely healthy glow.

Also recommend Aveda Camomile shampoo & conditioner for blonde hair, really brightens up the colour and smells delicious. I am a bit of an Aveda fan - also love their hand cream and foot cream.

welshmum · 27/04/2006 12:17

Bump - surely there are more good recommendations out there??

shellybelly · 27/04/2006 12:33

prescriptives magic powder is fab, goes on wet but you get a lovely glow (i only use for special occasions tho Grin)

also dr hauska firming mask, I wear it overnight again for special occasions and face feels fab and really plumped up

CountessDracula · 27/04/2006 12:38

Use clarins beauty flash balm and the eye balm every morning, takes away the haggy look

Chantecaille lip gloss is to die for and is very moisturising too

Of course Vitalumiere which I am now sold one!

CountessDracula · 27/04/2006 12:39

Blue Eyedew makes your eyes v sparkly

Donbean · 27/04/2006 12:41

When you take your scrunchie out of your hair.........and your hair remains bolt upright, every hair still in place.......then its time to get some shampoo on there you grotty tart!
(this was me this morning!!)Grin

Tutter · 27/04/2006 12:42

another vote for beauty flash balm

and eyelash curlers are essential for anyone with short and/or straight lashes

eliz arden 8 hr cream is as good as the magazines say

put concealer on between foundation and powder then again over powder to make it really stay put

face scrubs are wonderful and you look shite if you don't use them at least once a week

Karmamother · 27/04/2006 12:44

I've just started using Olay warming polishing cleanser from the regenerist range. It really does leave your skin very soft. As I regularly use those facial wipes in the evening (too lazy to wash properly) I feel my skin isn't cleaned properly so this olay one seems to get rid of the built up muck, IYSWIM.

brimfull · 27/04/2006 12:47

revlon eyeliner pencils are excellent

Bozza · 27/04/2006 12:49

But donbean that is what happens to my DD every time she has bunches. And she is only 1 so not very greasy. Honest! Grin

Nobisto · 27/04/2006 13:18

Had a mini-make-over at the Benefit counter this morning. After getting over being offended that she singled me out I succumbed.
I can now recommend the \link{http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/benefit/product.asp?pd=10104&pg=1&refer=topsellers_realness_041706\ "Realness of Concealness" kit}
For the first time I don't have any shadows or bags around my eyes.
Get yourselves down there for a demo.
