Face moisturiser for skiing - any you really love and recommend?

Going skiing next week and need something heavy duty for the slopes, any faves? Anyone flirting with BB creams, I've never used one but like the idea as they're a bit tinted and I go v red in the cold

Must admit I've always used Oil of Olay for skiing. I would probably go into a Space Nk and ask them. Or wear sunscreen instead of moisturiser - min SPF 15.

If you are going somewhere very cold be careful of the water content as it will freeze. Not good for the skin!

I use sunscreen (spf 30+ for snow), and then normal aftersun/moisturiser in the evening.

If the weather's bad and you suffer from wind/cold burn anyway, then maybe something a bit more protective - one of the thicker neutrogena type ones.

Don't forget lip salve with spf as well. And the underside of your nose/chin/ears as the snow reflects sun to places it doesn't normally get.

Kiehls do a cream for skiing. Waitrose baby bottom balm makes a great barrier cream and is oil based so won't freeze.

Thank you for the tips! As much as I love them, I don't think Olay or baby bottom butter will cut it though, need a very high SPF and something much thicker than normal... Am looking at the Clarins SPF 50+ Sun control stuff and similar sorts of things from Estee Lauder, just wondering whether that might be better than the sort of PizBuin stuff I'm seeing in the chemists. Any thoughts?

The Clarins might feel nicer to put on? I don't know about 'better', probably more expensive to keep reapplying every couple of hours.

You can get 'Mountain Formula' sunscreen in ski/outdoor shops. Never actually used it though.

I use clinique sun block at least factor 40. It's lovely stuff.
