??? It would have to be a miracle worker for me to spend so much ££ on a face cream.

From years of using various moisturisers, not using various moisturisers - cheap, mid range, expensive (ish) I reckon they all do a similar job.

Currently slathering on some Cien Olive oil face cream from Lidl. Does the job.

watching thread with interest though. :)

Can't remember what it's called but the anti-wrinkle cream from Aldi is good and cheap Smile

PeriPathetic · 21/01/2013 15:05

I like it. I wouldn't say it's worth it - it's no miracle worker - but it is the ONLY one I've used that doesn't give me zits and eczema.

cessie322 · 21/01/2013 15:10

I've used it. Found it very good. I had this tiny little lump beside my nose for years, it was like a little ball of hard skin (not milia) and after using the cdlm for a few weeks it disappeared. My friend always had very dry skin in winter so used to use it then and loved it.

We both had to stop using it though due to lack of funds!

Corygal · 21/01/2013 15:14

No. It also provokes violent allergic reactions in the sensitive.

Buy Aldi & expensive foundation.

I got some templespa truffle that was recommended on here a while back and have been astonished at the results - gutted really since the bloody stuff is £80 < shock >

dalek · 21/01/2013 15:26

the templespa stuff looks good.

I have always been happy to spend on skincare but even I balk at the cost of cdlm. Also worry that it will be fantastic and I will have to use it forever.

No; you can get much more affordable skincare in a much more affordable price bracket!

Have you though of Elemis, Decleor, liz Earle via QVC? They have some fabulous deals.

A moisturiser, skincare routine will only do so much I think. It's about all your other habits and lifestyle also. Drinking water, not smoking, eating a balanced diet, exfoliating, taking makeup off at night and quite significantly good genes!!

I wouldn't buy CDLM expecting a drastic change and don't fall for the sales pitch and glamour of the purchasing process and fancy packaging!!

I had a pot when it first came out, really rated it - it was about £60 back then.

Of course I didn't need it then Hmm

I remember reading on a beauty blog that it was really like the original Nivea ingredients wise Hmm

Bonsoir · 21/01/2013 16:27

Lancôme or Biotherm or Skinceuticals do brilliant moisturisers for dry skin.

polyhymnia · 21/01/2013 16:33

My DH likes Biotherm Aquasource for dry skin in their men's range. Is the women's version of that the one you'd recommend, Bonsoir?

shine0ncrazydiamond · 21/01/2013 16:39

It's 'quite' good but the results do not justify the cost.

I'm currently liking temple Spa Skin Truffle and, although pricey, really delivers. Also use Elemis and Ren and both are v good.

Bonsoir · 21/01/2013 16:41

Right now I am using "Skin Vivo - Reversive Anti-Aging Care - Rich" by Biotherm - and I love it. Also use Skinceuticals Eye Gel.

dalek · 21/01/2013 16:42

Am liking the sound of truffle spa - goes of to investigate prices......

I don't pay for any skin care [very lucky emoticon] so when I like it, you can believe me - it works!

Sickandsad · 21/01/2013 18:27

No, I have sensitive skin and was assured it would be a miracle cure by the sales lady. It wasn't and in fact in brought me out in a fetching dislay of bright red blotches. I also tried the eye cream which similarly gave me a rash on my eyelids Hmm
