Don't be so hard on your self. If you plan and stick too it you'll lose the weight you want. Perhaps have targets for each month and if you reach them treat yourself to a new item of clothing?

I don't know what your budget is but the following have good sales and choice and I have categorised them by ££££:

Good value:
Matalan
BHS
Gap

Medium price:
Hobbs (sale)
John Lewis (sale)
Debenhams (sale)

Higher price:
House of Fraser (sale)
Harrods (sale)
Liberty of London (sale)

Chin up and you will look lovely....

I suggest buying some not expensive filler clothes to make u feel good while onto losing the next bit. So couple of nice tops, long line caddy and some better trousers. Leggings are a bit dull, try Tesco skinny jeans with stretch? They are cheap!

Get thee to a H&M and have a look at La Redoute too. There's not much on the H&M site but plenty of good value stuff in store.

Paintyourbox · 10/01/2013 16:04

Second the H & M suggestion, I bought a couple pairs of coloured jeans and some nice tops for layering whilst I was trying to lose baby weight.

If I remember rightly I got 2x jeans, 2x tops and 1x cardigans for £65.

How about a nice new scarf or handbag to update the items you already own...and if when you lose all that weight, they'll still work for you. Smile well done for having the motivation to get started...I need a kick up the bum to lose some weight too since DC2 was born.

Was pondering this question on the school run. I think this type of overall look would work well.

But obviously at a lot less money as you won't be this size for long. So I'd recommend h&m for skinnies and stripey tops. Primark also worth a look for tops and skinnies.

Zara do decent linen tees like this boden one

Some cheap scarves from new look etc can help you feel more pulled together.

Or maybe a couple of dresses

Locketjuice · 10/01/2013 17:04

No help but me either if that makes you feel slightly better to know your not the only one!

OnlyWantsOne · 10/01/2013 17:47

That's what I need, some suggestions of "looks" as otherwise I just put on a black baggy t shirt & a pair of saggy skinnies & the whole outfit looks shockingly flub & grubby

Couple that with a zip up hoody 2 sizes too small & my huge feel in some fake uggs I look TERRIBLE

at least when I was a super small size 8 I looked happy and good in skinnies & a t shirt with converses

Check out the Hush sale online, not cheap cheap but lovely comfy stuff you'll love wearing post-pregnancy.

Also Dorothy Perkins do good cheap skinny jeans which seem to have big waists - good til the tummy flab goes down. M and S jeggings are always well rated on here f you like jeggings.

A few well chosen bits and some nice accessories and you'll feel much better.

Why not splash out on some nice new skincare or make up too? Guaranteed to make you feel more human.
