Cn anyone reccomend something for my wild frizzy hair?

Since having dd2 17 months ago, my long brown hair has turned into a wild frizzy wirey mess. I shampoo and condition daily and have tried usual things like frizz ease and more recently the loreal amazing oil, nothing really makes a difference.

Anyone know of anything I can try, budget not really a problem as long as its not ££££.

Was hoping for a product to put on it. I don't have the time, patience or know how to straighten my hair every day, it gives me arm ache besides anything else :)

Is it the 'Brazilian Straight' that you can have at the hairdressers? With 2 DDs (nearly 4yo and 8.5mo) I don't really have the time at the moment to go to the hairdressers :-/

Plus, I don't want straight hair. I like the curls but hate the frizz.

I thought a brazillian blowdry was like a perm, but straight, ie it lasts as long as your hair iyswim. I know that afro caribbean hairdressers close to me do them.

I use coconut oil - I find it great for frizz, but I straighten as well.

Argan oil on damp hair (or Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight). Then, if blow drying, finish with a serum or hair balm. I like Shine so Bright by Lush.

Yep. I put it on over night, for every other wash & wash it out in the morning.

My frizzy bits stay straight, even in the rain.

My hair is just the same and I use a Charles Worthington straightening treatment from boots for about £20. Put treatment on and dry as straight as poss, then bobs your uncle - lovely wavy controllable hair for the next 10 weeks or so. I started using it just after dd2 was born and am such a convert I'd be a rep if they'd pay me. Now I can wash and go for the first time since I was 14 when the wild wire over took my head

Pink pudding, do you have to blow dry it straight? Or just leave it to dry naturally?

Similar hair here. I use a hot oil treatment once a week and then Trevor sorbie curl creme on towel dried hair. Then let it dry naturally....sometimes finish off with argan oil....

You only need to blow dry it when you put the treatment on, after that you can leave to dry naturally. I tend to wash my hair in the evening and let it dry overnight as it is very thick and takes hours, and then in the morning I run a hot brush through it for 2 mins to style it. But I only need to wash my hair twise a week

Stop using anything with silicone in it. That had made a huge difference to my hair. Silicone is (hidden) normally in any ingredient ending in "...one" i.e dimethacone etc on the back. I use naked hair stuff from boots and no longer have frizz.

I might try that pinkpudding, it's sounding like the lowest maintenance thing! I never do anything with my hair, it's always tied back, unless I'm going out. Just wash it and tie it back again!

I second the naked range from Boots. I use the two in one on DD and it has made a huge difference to her very unruly hair.

Moroccan oil is good for mine, you can get it in small sample bottles. My DD finds she has to avoid brushing her hair when it's dry.

A wax treatment at a hairdressers used to help too, but you can buy your own.

There is a keratin treatment they do at some hairdressers which lasts weeks or months. I haven't had it done, but intend to, I have seen a few who have gone for it and the results are very sleek and groomed looking. No more damp frizz which is what I suffer from ... Google nano keratin and you can read more about it. I do know that prices vary quite widely in my area, so shop around if you decide to have it done.

Stop washing every day as well. It will strip your hair of all natural moisture and make it more frizzy. It might be good to look for a non-SLS shampoo and conditioner as well - Naked range is good.

I have seen today a loreal ever sleek shampoo and conditioner, I think I am going to give them a go. I bought a Charles worthington diamond shine treatment which I tried last night and that's made it look a lot better, not so much frizz around the Back of my neck.

I have to wash every week day as I work in a scrap yard and my hair gets full of dust and dirt! Not a good look :)

I second Mrsap's suggestion of avoiding silicone. My friend introduced me to the method - more detail on British Curlies

I now wash my hair only with conditioner (sounds a bit odd but has worked really well). Specific products I use are Tresemme Naturals conditioner (the one that says silicone free on the front) as a shampoo, then Garnier Fructis Repair and shine for dry hair as a conditioner. Then I style with Boots pink curl creme (£1-39 a pot) and Boots own gel (the purple one). The website will link you to a list of ones that are silicone-free though).

I realise that my username isn't a great advert, but I wasn't using this method when I created my account! It is by no means perfect but certainly a lot better now than it was. I even wear it down most of the time whereas I virtually never did before!

Didn't work for me as my hair is fine and a not thick but def worth a look! Google the reviews.

Frizz ease and co will merely layer a coat of gloss on top of the hair, like a mask, which isn't very effective if there's persistent frizz or damage. Do avoid layering too many products, too, it will zap the lustre even further.

Ive tried all these natural oils and they're too heavy for my hair type. Only thing that works for me is Kerastace heat protect when blowdrying. I really think the trick can be less product as opposed to more.
