Need new skinny jeans - help needed

So as its the sales I thougt I would get a new pair of skinny jeans.

Currently own 1 pair from primark which are a size 16 and stay tight enough down the legs but are too loose around the waist meaning I can pull the down without undoing them after having them on for half an hour

I also own 1 pair from next. Size 14. Forte nicley when I tried them on, they now go baggy all over and look like a sack after half an hour. I can also take these off without undoing them

I also own 1 pair from river island that are a size 14. For perfectly around the waist (if a little tight) and don't get as baggy down the legs.

So what I really want is a pair of skinny jeans that will fit around the waist and not get baggy down the legs. Does this mean I should be trying super skinny jeans?

By the way - I really don't think I would be able to fit into a pair of size 12's

Heard new look might be a good option - any experience with these?

The ones I linked to are high waisted - the dont say it but they are and i'm tall.

Much better for squashing in the belly!!!

I highly rate M&S jeggings and skinnies, last many more washes before starting to bag on the knees and bum. I have a black pair (limited collection - seem to be the best of all) that are 3 years old, reguarly go through the tumble dryer and are still as good as the day i bought them.
Also New Look are good (so far).
Worst are defo Next high waisted skinnies. After 3 washes I couldn't wear for more than an hour without bagging horrifically.

Can't do high-waisted- I end up with a double belly Blush. Still love my topshop Baxters- never found anything to compare!

However I did just get a nice pair of maroon skinny jeans from fat face in the sale which I quite like for £20.

Urban Outfitters do BDC ones. They're about £45-£50. I really like them, although they do slip down from my waist. I'm not very curvy, though. More rectangle than figure 8. Sad

They don't go baggy, though, IME.

I've never yet found a pair of skinnies that don't go a little baggy, but I really think the high waist helps as they don't 'fall down' as it were - hope you find something you like.

But do cheap jeans flatter anyone's arse?
I need answers.
Mine looks terrible in high street jeans. I want to cry.

Try the primark they are a good fit

DamnedAgain · 06/01/2013 17:53

I think the key is to buy a size too small: even if you have to shoehorn yourself in when trying on they will stretch to correct fit.
