What can I use to hide my undereye bags?

They're huge and have been there since I was a child, since having DS2 they've taken over my face and are very dark.

I would love something to either help reduce the darkness/size and/or cover them up nicely so I don't get a shadow!

First thing you need to know is that they are caused by blood pooling in that area (apols if you already know this). So some things that will help reduce them is drinking lots of water, eye massage and applying cold things like cucumber or one of those gel masks that you put in the fridge.

In terms of hiding them, I swear by the YSL Touche Eclat gold pen. It has light reflectors in it so they appear lighter. You really need to spend some time doing it properly though and blend it in.

Thanks, I don't know if it's blood pooling there- how would I know if it was? I do drink a lot of tea but do try to drink a few pints of water a day, but I will try the cucumber and eye masks to see if it makes a difference.

I'll have a look for Touche Eclat thanks again

Hi, sorry - not sure I made it clear! They definitely are caused by blood pooling there - that is what makes them look dark. That's why all the things I mentioned work, because they take the blood away from the area.

Massaging with a light oil or eye cream round the socket area will really help improve the circulation and take the blood away.

I find bare minerals concealer covers my dark circles (and blemishes) brilliantly and it's easy to apply and blend with the brushes. I'm not very experienced with make up though but friends have also had positive things to say about bm concealer

In some people (ie me) it's just genetic. No matter how much sleep I get I always have dark circles under my eyes. MrsBradleyCooper is right, it's caused by lots of little blood vessels under the surface. There's not a lot you can do, though the steps she's suggested could help.

I've found that the best thing is to disguise them with decent makeup. Skin colours will just make them go greeny - what you need to cancel out the bluish tone is a pinky concealer. I use Bobbi Brown corrector in Bisque and it's amazing. I put skin-coloured concealer over the top of it - you only need a tiny thin layer. I've heard good things about Touch Eclat and Sali Hughes recommends this.

They used to really bother me but I can honestly say that I barely think about it any more, now that I have decent makeup.

Is it dark skin you are worried about, or actual eye bags? If it's eye bags, google tear trough procedure. If it's dark skin, Clinique Airbrush concealer is great.
