A Victorian hair-do with a long layered bob. Any ideas?!?

How's this for a poser? I'm off to a Victorian themed New Year's Eve do, costume all sorted, but no idea what to do with my hair! I've looked at some of the vintage hair tutorials on YouTube, but all the Victorian styles are up-do's and need longer than shoulder length hair.
Any ideas?

TIA Smile

Clip it back from your face to hide the length and stick a hat on top. Or a wig.

Could you clip the bulk of your hair back to give the appearence of an updo. Centre part your hair any then do a corkscrew curl at the front on either side?

If not how about using a nice clip and doing something like this the second pic down.

You could probably do a Gibson tuck, depending to an extent on how short your shortest layers are (maybe curl any dangling-down bits that are too short to get included).

Alternatively make yourself a bonnet if you have any fabric and card lying around- pinch a ribbon off of a festive box of chocs- quite easy to make.

Thanks all, some lovely ideas. I'm going to try the Gibson Tuck with a roller, but I've a feeling my hair is a tiny bit too short.

Failing that, a parting with corkscrew curls. Smile And maybe some feathers? The costume is a short bustle-y skirt with a black corset and a sort of sheer sleeved top. I was going to wear sparkly tights but just discovered that the tights have ladders Hmm

The party's at a secret location, to be texted to us on the night! Exciting! Grin
