I want to buy something from this website www.kaufdichgluecklich-shop.de/index.php/de/versand but my knowledge of German is limited to counting to 5, would someone mind having a look and letting me know if they post to the uk?

Sorry - it looks like anything over 60 euros is free delivery. Otherwise it's 14. Only have Higher German from 20 years ago, so maybe best wait for someone else to confirm this before you order.

It does allow you to select GB in the drop down, but it doesn't allow you to enter the post code as a UK one.

Why don't you register and drop them an email op?

Or register with Boingo, which is how I sometimes get stuff delivered?

FreshLeticia · 28/12/2012 23:39

Agent is right. 14 Euros if order less than 60 Euros. I have ordered from German sites before, if you send an email they are usually very helpful and in English.

Lovely thank you everyone ( although you have just encouraged me to spend money so I shouldn't thank you really!)

The customer service email is [email protected]

I think you are best emailing them as I can't get the order form to change to a UK layout address.

Ask them to omit the German VAT too, as you may have to pay in the UK and could end up paying double. (you may get a bill with the UPS delivery - depending on the value of your order)

CandyCrush · 28/12/2012 23:58

I'm bilingual...

Above is correct about the postage. They do also say that they won't pay return costs from overseas, but that seems pretty normal practise.

Odd wording actually on the blurb - but they might have been being "trendy" it's all written very casually and almost colloquially. Very unusual for Germany...

Nice boots on there though GrinSmile

CandyCrush · 29/12/2012 00:00

Oh and you will have to pay the German VAT. You won't have to pay again in the UK though, EU so doesn't go though customs in that way. We order a lot from Germany

Binfullofgibletsonthe26th · 29/12/2012 00:12

Ah Candy is that how it works. I only order from the UK and Germany into Switzerland so I am used to a nice surprise of a tax bill with all my items. (Non EU)
