Advice on new hairstyle please - non-frumpy/mumsy bobs?

I have long hair with a slight wave to it - quite nice but with no 'style' of it's owns. It just hangs there in curtains or I stick it up in a pony tail. Am tempted to go for some kind of bob between chin and shoulder length, but what kind? Which are the non-frumpy kind? I'm not a fan of the Victoria Beckham-esque 'shaggy at the back' look - it's a bit dated isn't it? In my early 30s by the way, if thats relevant.

Hopeful bump...

Or is shorter hair inherently ageing as you get older? Emma Watsons crop looked amazing but hair that short on me would look too harsh I think.

I really like this Mandy Moore cut

I had something similar before I had it all cut off in a pixie crop. :)
I LOVE my short hair. So easy and there are many variations to make it less harsh. (I also like going to the hairdresser every 5-6 wks as I can escape from the dc!) :)

No idea if it's ageing - I think that's more to do with the overall style you have iyswim.

That is a cute cut Whenisit. Maybe I need to bite the bullet and have a proper short cut. Halfway, not long or short hair might be more ageing and blah than anything.
