Do you moisturise your neck?

I've heard you're supposed to pay as much attention to your neck as you do the skin of your face - but does anyone actually do this?

Yes!

myalias · 16/12/2012 19:35

Yes your neck will eventually give your true age away

Bonsoir · 16/12/2012 19:36

Definitely! I exfoliate it every morning in the bath, and then moisturise it.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 16/12/2012 19:37

Yes, twice a day with the same products I use on my face!

pepperrabbitanddesultorytinsel · 16/12/2012 19:37

Only if I've got too much moisturiser out for my face!

IslaValargeone · 16/12/2012 19:37

Yes and chest.

threeineachlobe · 16/12/2012 19:40

Only in last few years, but yes. And chest.

AnnoyingOrange · 16/12/2012 19:43

I do

3littlefrogs · 16/12/2012 19:45

Yes - I think this is really important. I use facial moisturiser on my face, and richer, body butter on my neck and chest every day. I am in my mid 50s, but I haven't any wrinkles in my neck yet.

The other problem area is your hands. I have noticed that my hands are really ageing, so I need to make more effort with the handcream.

Meta4 · 16/12/2012 19:59

Goodness - more responses than I expected in such a short space of time! Thanks everyone, I'll definitely start now. Will look into body butter as suggested

Yes absolutely. Only wish I'd started earlier - in my 20a. Then my neck might look as good as my face.

EllenParsons · 17/12/2012 00:46

Yes, I use my face moisturiser on my neck as well

Dottiespots · 17/12/2012 00:57

I use olay on my face and my neck and chest. Only started in the last 8 years but my skin seems fine, not wrinkly at all. Dont think moisturiser makes much difference to whether or not you get wrinkles though. I like it cause I use the moisturiser that gives you a "glow" which makes me feel good. Im 51 and and dont yet have wrinkles and have good skin but then so does my mum and shes in her early 70s. I am also Australian.

EuroShagmore · 17/12/2012 15:54

Yes, but I didn't start until my 30s.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/12/2012 17:13

I've been using the aldi q10 calcium night cream and the serum in the pink bottle, I'm very pleased with them. The skin looks more nourished and even toned than before could all be in my mind though

FunnysFuckingFreezing · 17/12/2012 17:16

yes always, it would feel really weird to do my face and stop at my chin. Plus I have a horror of a crepey decolletage.......

EuphemiaInExcelsis · 18/12/2012 07:37

I moisturise from my forehead to my décolletage. It really makes a difference! Chest not as lined as it was.

ilovemyteddy · 18/12/2012 09:02

Yes! I saw a woman on TV when I was in my teens who said she moisturised her neck from the age of 16. She was in her 50s (so ancient in my teenaged opinion!) and her neck was smooth and wrinkle-free.

I've moisturised my neck ever since. I'm now in my fifties and have smooth, wrinkle-free neck skin Xmas Smile

Missbopeep · 18/12/2012 09:09

It's more vital to keep the sun off - so use a product with an SPF of 20 or higher every day, and cover with a scarf etc in hot sun.

My neck is rubbish because I started caring for it too late even though my face is totallly unlined in my 50s.

iMe · 18/12/2012 21:02

Must start doing this.
