Who can find me some stylish clothes that allow easy access to boobs for nursing?

I'm determined not to look like a frump whilst feeding and am desperate to find some stylish outfits that will allow for easy and discrete feeding in public.

Anyone want to be my personal stylist?

I have always found the two tops look a success - one that can be pulled down under the boob (or a vest which has long straps and can be set up under the boob) and then something not too tight and not too thick on top which can be pulled up to shield top of boob.

That, and wrap around top/dresses which I can just hoik aside, but then you need a scarf to cover the exposed boob.

What is your personal style usually, might help us to suggest ideas...

I love wearing tea dresses and thick black tights in winter. Or leggings and long woolly jumpers

I think the two top thing works best too. I have never found a flattering breast-feeding top, sadly.

Most days I wear a fitted vest from H and M (£3.99 I think, not the spaghetti strap ones, loads of colours) with a looser jumper or cardigan. With skinnies and ankle boots, and sometimes a scarf. It's a bit boring, but it works for me at the moment.

I have a wardrobe full of dresses which I miss, but to tbh even if I could feed in them my norks are too big at the moment which ruins the look of the dress.

Zwitterion you have described my usual outfit almost exactly - the H&M vest, the looser jumper...only difference is I mostly wear knee highs.

For colder days I find the Uniqlo heatech long sleeve, round neck tops work as the first layer - the neck is easy to pull down and again there are lots of colours.

Thanks for your replies. I guess I'll have to keep the dresses in the wardrobe for the moment. But the layering system sounds good to me!

Jojo Maman bebe have nice dresses/tops or Frugi but more casual.

I recommend this plain dress from H&M with loose jumpers, blouses, tops etc layered over it as the neck is stretchy enough to use it like the 2 top approach. I wear with leggings and biker boots in winter or ballet pumps in summer.

Like it weasley, who knew H&M were a bfeeding mum's best friend?! The top I wore to every smart occassion over summer was also H&M, a nude sort of wrap round thing I wore with a variety of skirts, but sadly can't see it online.

I got some great stuff from this site -- worth asking them to send you a catalogue whether or not you fancy the stuff, just for a giggle over what the French think pregnant/nursing women ought to aspire to look like and the day to day activities they might do! www.seraphine.com/
