:(

They are dry, cracked, bleeding. Just awful and sore. In desperation I put flexitol on them last night before bed and it is has helped slightly tbh but I need something better. I look like an old woman

Poor you, there is nothing more miserable than having sore hands. I used to suffer from really dry and chapped hands but tried invisible glove which heals and protects the skin for several hours. There are lots of different types and I buy mine from equine supply stores.

I hope your hands heal up soon.

I used to use an almond oil moisturiser from the Body Shop, the hemp one is good too.

Now I mainly use almond oil, it's worked wonders on my cracked hands and feet!

I am allergic to almonds orally, do you think it would be the same on skin?

I have eczema on my hands; even when it's not that bad my hands are very dry. I use Epaderm which i get on prescription but I guess as it's not medicated you can buy it.

The other thing that works well for me is oil. I have just bought a Body Shop rose oil for hands but have yet to try it. In the summer i had some This Works leg oil. Applying it to my legs had a miraculous effect on my hands. It's expensive though.

Another vote for Epaderm, it's about £10 over the counter if you haven't got time to get a prescription.

DP used it on his really sore cracked hands. I wouldn't have gone near them with normal scented handcream to be honest, fragrances and additives is the last thing they needed.

I wouldn't risk it if you have an allergy but any oil will work. Bio-oil, sunflower seed oil, olive oil, jojoba oil.. Particularly good at night
