The power of Lippy

A few months ago I posted on the restorative power of some lipstick and blusher on my Mum. She had gone into a residential home and raided my make up bag for my Lipstick Queen lippy and blusher. Sadly she passed away 4 weeks ago but up to the very end kept up her lips and cheeks ( up till the end, very tasteful).
Till the end she was an inspiration to me.
She worked in Bond street in the 50"s as a dressmaker and made costumes and outfits for film stars such as Margaret Lockwood and other British luminaries.

Thank you Mum, for everything.

I'm sorry for your loss. I helped my mum get her roots done three weeks before she died, it was important to her.

Well, even though I feel distraught, if I ventured out not looking my best, she would haunt me!

I remember your post and having been a night sister for many years, in a care home, I agree that most often, personal style and a lady's need to maintain her appearance, is less important to the staff.

But for some, it's very important.

I hope someone will do a bit of lippy and blush for me, when the time comes.

I'm so sorry you've lost your mum Flowers
