its usually boxing day.

I've had to admit defeat with Zara jackets - they're obviously cut for teeny tiny stunted Spanish women not orangutan proportioned British bints.

I'm not bitter, honest Xmas Blush

Boxing day.

Does the sale begin online on Boxing Day as well? I am going to be cooking for 45 on Boxing Day in the middle of nowhere so I might miss my chance at the work clothes I've been cruising!

Should do, but I wouldn't worry so much- there's always loads left over, it's not like the first day of Next sale. Online sells much quicker than instore, at least than the store I work in.

Sorry for an unrealted question but, BreakOutTheTinselSantasAComing, what's the deal with the Next sales? I've known people to literally camp outside of their stores at 5 am.

Think it's because EVERYTHING is half price or less, straight away, compared to most shops 20% off, gradually going to 50-60% over the next month.

I worked in Next before Zara, and we would have people queueing from 4-ish when we got there to put the tills in. If you want to shop Next, have a plan. If you need homeware, you need to be there for opening, that's what goes the fastest. Then move to kids, ladies accessories, ladies clothes, and finally mens. If you have nothing in particular that you want, but just 'bargains', the shoppers seem to come in waves. First one at 5, next one 7.30-8, think it's as the kids wake up, then starts getting busy again 10-ish for the rest of the day. So best point to hit would be just gone 6, it's not manic, but there's still stuff left. If you need homeware, get there first thing, prepare to use elbows, and just pick up everything you think and put back what you don't want, as it won't be there when you go back.

Fantastic advice, thank you Thanks. I'll go check homewares online in case there is something I will be prepared to get up at 3am.

No problem! If you want furniture, it's also worth checking out the non-home stores early. They used to (might have changed) discount the display furniture about 2 weeks before the sale, to make space for the new season displays. It may be worth checking it all now, maybe speak to the home section manager, to ask if they will take your name down to buy a certain item if it's reduced- some managers will, some won't. However, if you do, you nedd to pick it up within a day or two yourself, there is no delivery option.
