I have these

www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Trousers-Jeans/WT045/Womens-Roma-Trouser.html?m=3

in black and navy and wear them with various long tops - cashmere sweater, striped ditto, and even some pieces which might be called tunics (but NOT of the tent-like or flower patterned variety), including this one
www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Tunics/WK790/Womens-Tweedy-Tunic.html.

Have been wearing them with ballet flats, plimsoll type shoes, loafers, brogues. But now fancy trying them with boots. My question is: would they work with bikerish ankle boots or do they need long boots (a bit principal boyish?).? Or would neither work???

They are an odd length on the model where do they finish on you? They look like they should be ankle grazer 7/8 length. They would look fine with bikerish ankle boots or ones like these www.next.co.uk/x502340s4#769599x50 with a bit of a heel or these www.next.co.uk/x502340s2#776883x50 or even these (I will have my eye on them in the sale) www.dune.co.uk/piedaterre/principal-suede-studded-ankle-boot-0199508050003297/ or even a flat brogue style boot, there are lots about but like this www.dune.co.uk/piedaterre/owen-stud-trim-chelsea-ankle-boot-0199506380007509/
Would also look fine with longer boots if the trousers are tight fitting on the thigh, that would stop them looking principal boyish.

Thanks. They are actually longer than this on me - over my ankle. More or less 'normal' trouser length.

Will try with my bikerish ankle boots. Also particularly like the 'chelsea boot' you linked. Love the studded ones too but a bit too high for me.

Trousers are tight fitting on the thigh (I don't like any trouser or jean that's meant to be 'skinny' to be at all baggy). But I wonderd if that might make the effect with longer boots even more principal boyish - ie might look as though I was wearing tights? But the ponte material is in fact quite thick so I'll try and see how it works.
