Hair straighteners - which to buy.

I currently have some hair straighteners but find that the straightness doesn't last and it also takes a lot to get it straight - my hair is only slightly curled and though its not particularly thick I do have quite a lot of hair.

I use clips to straighten it in sections but It doesn't seem to make a difference overall.

That being said, it always looks lovely when the hair dresser has done it so not sure whether its technique or salon quality straighteners.

I have seen Remington Pearl straighteners and Nicky Clark DesiRed on sale and wondered if anyone had any experience of either of them...or suggestions of others that they like?

According to S and B, Remmington Pearls are great and have fab reviews on Amazon.

Avoid FHIs, hair stayed straight for a full 20 mins. Needless to say went back to my 6 year old GHDs.

Had my GHDs for 6 years. Stays straight. Still going strong so worth the money.

Ghds- cost 100 8 years ago and still the best. I have thick hair with ringlets and these make it poker straight all night

I bought GHD's recently after my very old pair of Remington, I think, broke. I have to say I'm very impressed. My hair is definitely smoother and sleeker.

I'm assuming you are blow drying your hair straight first and then just smoothing over with the straighteners? It'll never stay straight if you don't blow dry it first.
