Cream/balm for flaky skin patches...begins with an S (maybe). Does anyone know what it is?

I've seen a cream recommended on here a few times, used for soothing sensitive, flakey skin patches. I think it began with S...any ideas? If not, any other recommendations? It's just for a single irritated patch on my face that always arrives in winter, no matter how good the rest of my skin is. TIA!

I posted last night about my dry flaky skin and have seen some cream by S5 which seems to be well recommended by beauty editors.

That sounds good Mistletoe, will be trying the body shop aloe vera, sudocrem and la roche posay (probably in that order) :)

OP, I've been really impressed with the Cicaplast Baume. Was hesitant as it is pricy, but it's very concentrated and doesn't leave as much of a white cast on my (dark) skin as Sudocrem does. I've had a recurrent dry eczema patch near my eye for months and this is the only thing that has sorted it out

Popped into body shop on my way home and they gave me a huge free sample of aloe vera night cream to try! Have a feeling it won't be quite potent enough for my v stubborn dry patch though, so thanks for the other recs.

If it's very stubborn, you might want to try a steroid cream. Just a couple of times a day for a day or so will sort it right out.

I get similar, also circular patches of eczema which never look (or feel) pleasant!

Thanks stinky will see how it goes. It is always a circular patch in the same place so maybe it is some kind of eczema.

I ALWAYS had a patch on my cheek - been there for years, I thought it was excema but the aloe stuff got rid of it almost immediately.

Thats great valium! My free sample should last a week or so, will see how it goes. Will be vvv impressed if it works, I have tried doctor recommended creams (not steroid though), e45, eucerin, rosehip oil, weird japanese balm, dermalogica barrier repair (which was shite), dr hauschka rose cream...none made any difference to this one patch!

YY I tried all of them as well, in fact you are hard pushed to find something I haven't tired

I got rid of my scales with Protect and Perfect serum.

I've nc'd but wanted to update this thread for valium - the body shop Aloe Vera has worked! It took over a week of using it every night, but gradually my flaky patch has healed and is perfect and smooth now - v impressed, and still using my free sample up!

superbalm from boots. its in their botanics range. truly amazing stuff!

LRP is good but for flaky skin you can't beat Eucerin 5% urea cream.
It sorts out stubborn winter induced flaky patches overnight.
