Make up remover for sensitive skin

The skin on my face is really strange. My forehead, cheeks and chin are not sensitive at all and moderately dry but nothing major. I occasionally get the odd spot on my chin which is usually hormonal.

But the skin on and around my nose is really weird. It is reactive but only to somethings. A few people have mentioned rosacea as it is the same area but I'm not sure. The skin doesn't seem to mind decent make up, but I can't find a make-up remover which doesn't irritate it by causing a spotty, itchy rash the day after.

Don't mind spending a bit of money if a product works but at the moment I can't wear make-up because I can't remove it without bothering my skin. That being said, I would obviously prefer it if someone came up with a super cheap and fantastic working solution! All advice/experience/recommendations welcome. TIA.

My skin is a bit like that, a sensitive area each side of my nose which flares up red, dry and itchy very easily. My favourite cleanser is Lush Ultrabland, wiped off with Lush Eau Roma on a flannel, both are really gentle and brilliant at getting make-up off.

Baby shampoo! I use Johnsons baby wash as it is in a pump bottle. It is not very foamy, doesn't dry my sensitive skin and gets everything off well.

I like Lush Ultrabland too, but prefer the baby shampoo for speed.

Cetaphil is good too - it's recommended for people with v. sensitive skin or people recovering from surgery/ treatment.

Clarins extra gentle cleansing cream is good. It's another one that you use with water and a flannel/muslin. Removes everything, including the toughest of mascaras.

Cetaphil is great, but don't think it removes make up very well.

With ultrabland and baby shampoo Hmm do you apply it to a wet or dry face? I've been told by a clinique lady to avoid too much washing with water (I think she means cleanser on a wet face) as she thinks it is drying my skin.

The Aloe Range from The body Shop is good.

Vichy do a water product. I have it and was skeptical about its ability to remove my Estée Lauder Double Wear Light which is tough stuff. You literally use it like a toner with round cotton pads (you dont need that much) and off it all comes. I splash with water when it's all off but you don't have to.

It's £11. Sometimes Boots do offers. It's called "Purete Thermale 3 in 1" and is for sensitive skin. Really simple and effective.

Ultrabland goes on dry skin, it is a rich cream, oil based. Water based cleansers (ie lotions) irritate my skin, even the milder ones seem to leave it all tingly.

However I use Lush scrubs in the shower in the morning (Angels on Bare Skin in summer, the even gentler Buche de Noel in winter). My skin does feel tight afterwards, but not irritated and it is fine once moisturised.

If you go into Lush and ask they are happy to give out fairly generous samples.
