Skinny skinny boy pants needed age 2!

He's been dry since summer. I bought mothercare pants which were ok size wise BUT in true Mothercare shit-ness, the elastic has gone in every single pair.

I looked for new pants today.
The leg holes are giant easily 15cm across laid flat in M&S, John Lewis, Next were just as big and also as wide on the waist.
I tried Hennes who didn't have any pants, Gap whose leg holes were better but would reach his armpits.

Got some in Zara I'm happy on the leg holes but the waist is too big and they fall to his ankles.

HELP

I won't have this problem in a year or two as I can age down. But pants seem to only start age 2-3.

Anyone got any other ideas? Poor boy walks about hoiking his pants up all day long his mother does it on MN but he's only 2

I have similar problems but found M&S do 18-24m pants which have worked for us. Good luck!

Tesco and Asda ?

I bought boxers from this age and they seemed better and my DS is a skinny thing too. At 4.5 he won't wear anything else now, calls pants 'girls pants'!

Have bought mainly from Next and Tescoe and all have been fine.

Tesco do 18-24mo pants, DD2 is 2.6 and still in them as she is tiny.

Hmmm I haven't seen any boxers that small. Seen some jerseys jockey style but they too would puddle around his ankles straight off.

I never had the puddle around the ankles with DD and remain happy with mothercare Knicks for her. Leg holes gaping is my biggest issue with her!

DS has trousers so wouldn't be so bad, BUT his bits fall out adding to the hoiking.

Do you have a Du Pareil au Meme near you? They're made for super-skinny French kids and suit my super-skinny not-French DC very well. I think they do underwear in small sizes.

Next boxers start in age 2 - 3, DS has always been tiny but never had an issue with them falling down.

We have this issue too for DD2.
She's 2.6 and still in 9-12 and 12-18mth clothes.

Her's are mainly from Tesco (18mths) and Sainsburys (2-3) which are slightly baggy but not too bad.
Ive heard Asda do little ones too.

re trousers- With two very skinny DD's I only buy trousers/skirts with elasticated waists. Next are good for these.

I wondered that Shattered, but when I looked at the underwear it actually started from 2, not 3, in the boys section.

Also try Asda, DS took about 3years quite a while to potty train so I had to buy a lot of pants and Asda were always sturdy and comfortable for him. He only wore briefs though, he doesn't like boxers.

Pigley I find next the worst for skinny ness. All their trousers have fake waist strings and my kids refuse their trousers as they are too low cut on the rise and I have to pull the elastic to the extreme if they are to stay up. This causes them to look most ungainly and fit most uncomfortably.

Defo Primark. My boys are almost 4 and still in 2-3 pants. Also managed to get boxers in that size, but our is a massive one.

I'm not sure if it would be the same for boys but dd is really skinny and is in George (Asda) 2-3 pants.
she is very tall too so all her trousers either fit on the leg or fit at the waist!

Primark ones are always tiny. Poor DS (2.5) is quite chunky and he gets age 4-5 from there!

Petit bateau (I think?) does underwear for little ones, my tiny 2yo charge wears them but they are bloody expensive and plain, we have 5 for her and they are in constant rotation!

H&M work for our skinny kid, not tried the pants but the trousers are so skinny my DS doesn't need to hold them when he runs - bonus

That's conclusive then. Primark make the SMALLEST pants, with suitably sized leg holes for skinny boys.

Still want to try Debenhams and would love Petit B if I could find any.
