I am trying to get into a better routine as I am often guilty of not taking my make up off properly.
But I'm not sure what I should be doing. Do you take your make up off as soon as you get in or wait until bedtime? And do you cleanse then or wait until later?

Baby wipe all my make-up off.

That's it Blush.

JemimaPuddle · 22/11/2012 19:53

I have a shower each night rather than morning so I take off my makeup before my shower.
Afterwards i put on eye cream, serum then night cream.

Elemis Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser plus flannel
Elemis Tri-Enzyme facial wash
rosehip oil
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

I am a right ponce, but it's working. I have less wrinkles!

BananaPie · 22/11/2012 20:07

Wash face with either facial wash or squirty soap. Dry. Slap on a bit of moisturiser. I appear to be wrinkle-free so far.

Cherylkerl · 22/11/2012 20:10

Face wash make up off

Clinique clarifying lotion, too harsh for some people but my skin gets very upset (spotty) when I stop using it

Trying out Estée Lauder advanced night repair

Moisturise - currently benefit

Eye cream - currently a Lancôme one

Have to remind myself not to forget my neck!

racingheart · 22/11/2012 20:20

Wipe off make up with Garnier Soft face lotion and cotton wool then moisturise with Nivea Q10+ day cream as night creams are all too heavy and make my skin puffy.

Sometimes use a really hot facecloth to exfoliate first, but only when skin looks grey and dull.

I used to know a few models who always cleaned their skin with tissues not cotton wool but I never worked out why. Does anyone know?

ggirl · 22/11/2012 20:21

glycolic gel and eye cream after washing face
retin a cream when i remember

Fozzleyplum · 22/11/2012 20:42

Oil cleansing method (extra virgin olive oil with lavender - massaged in and and taken off with a clean hot cloth) then splash with cool water. I have v dry, sensitive skin and eyes and a tendency to eczema, so I have to be careful with moisturiser. In the Winter, I massage in oil, currently a mix including nigella, hazelnut and essential oils. In the Summer, I use Lush Celestial moisturiser, which is the only one that doesn't irritate..

I'm no DIY hippy, but see little point in paying £30 plus for Clarins face oil when you can make your own, with the same ingredients, for a fraction of the cost. It all works for me, whereas the more expensive stuff caused all sorts of problems.

TigerseyeMum · 22/11/2012 21:24

Ren cleansing wash - Mayblossom for combo skin, the only thing that stops my oily yet sensitive skin from breaking out.

Decleor toner for oily skin- even when I think my skin is squeaky clean this finds more dirt to clean off.

Either Neals Yard Beauty Sleep night cream or their more intensive Vitamin E night cream as my skin can get dry. Maybe 3 times a week.

Sometimes eye cream but I get very irritated by them.

Blister lip balm.

Neals Yard body lotion.

L'Occitane Shea butter hand cream.

If I am def not going out I will cleanse and get in PJs quite early.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum
Estée Lauder cream
Aldi eye cream (best I've ever tried and only £2.99 !!!)

NuzzleandScratch · 23/11/2012 06:52

I do my face just before bed.

L'oreal eye make up remover.
Decleor cleanser & toner
Decleor vitaroma eye cream
Decleor neroli oil (dotted over face)
Decleor Aroma night (night moisturiser)

I love Decleor! Grin Have used it for years, as has my mum, an we both have really good skin (I realise genetics also play a part here).

coffeeinbed · 23/11/2012 08:49

Avene Cold cream gel cleanser - a huge tube, lasts me at least 6 months. I really hope it's not actually meant for the body. Blush
Clarins Blue Orchid oil - again, lasts months and months.
Boots Botanicts Sensitive Skin Night Cream - very very cheap.

MissBoPeep · 23/11/2012 08:53

Boots No 7 cleanser for normal skin
L'oreal eye make up remover.
Risne with warm water
Clinique Youth Surge Night cream for cery dry skin
No 7 Pure and Protect Eye cream
Neutrogena foot cream- when I remember
Neutrogena body lotion- cheap as chips - Sali Hughes says it the best and Iagree
Handcream- Clarins, or whatever nice people have bought me for a perssie.

expatinscotland · 23/11/2012 08:54

Simple face cleanser. Witch hazel toner. Usually tons of Neutrogena acne gel. Avon Anew serum.

HousewifefromBethlehem · 23/11/2012 08:55

Emma hardie face wash or balm with flannel

Once/twice a week Clinique clarifying lotion

Estée Lauder serum (purple one)

Loccitane divine immortelle cream

HousewifefromBethlehem · 23/11/2012 08:56

I would not rave about the Loccitane cream for the price though

Lottapianos · 23/11/2012 09:03

Oil cleanse method with sunflower/olive oil, try to massage in for at least 10 minutes but some days it's more like 1 minute! Blast of Avene thermal spring water spray To close pores. Then moisturize with Astral or Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter if feeling really dry. Handcream. Bed.

Lavenderhoney · 23/11/2012 09:05

Every night....
Make up off
Clarins face creame cleanser
( toner if remember, clarins)
Face oil - I make my own with lavender oil and almond oil:) but otherwise I used to use clarins.
I have got eye cream as well, so put that on too ( clarins again!)

I always wash my face with cold water, I never put warm water on my face - my dm told me not to from v tiny so I never have. I am vv lucky as I have good skin, and it's genetic I am sure.

I forget to put stuff on as dd likes to look through/ play with my stuff, so I have to put it out of reach:)
