like I need a hole in my head, but my mum sent me these b/c she didn't like 'em (she got 'em in the US, but I found 'em here on the Kay's website):

They're the lime green ones.

They're quirky, but I don't think they look right w/skinny jeans.

Ideas on what to wear w/em - trouser/bottoms-wise that is, I've got tops and accessories sussed.

beetroot · 01/04/2006 19:43

sorry cannot beleive you like them. they remeind me of a mad american woman who has kids at our school. she hobbles about in shoes like that WITH socks

CODDYPANTS · 01/04/2006 19:43

i know
wpoouldnt fit my scrawny feet tho

stitch · 01/04/2006 19:45

i like them.
woudl never buy them for 40 though. but i think therye nice.

beetroot · 01/04/2006 19:47

how is your tummy stitch??

expatinscotland · 01/04/2006 19:52

she didn't pay 40 quid for 'em. she paid $20USD.

i'm still undecided, that's why i left 'em in their apartment. she's in a warm climate now, and so into sandals just now.

my feet as skinny, and they fit just fine. they've got a heel on them as well.

I like them but just want to quibble on them being lime green. Don't think they are personally.

expatinscotland · 01/04/2006 20:22

i feel they're like a dark lime green. don't consider them 'khaki', tho. dunno where they got that from.

they're different from what i am used to is all.

tummy's fine beety...
why do you ask?

Blackduck · 02/04/2006 11:29

I'm with beety on this - I don't like them......

Nbg · 02/04/2006 11:29

I love them, really like the green colour too.

Wear them with some jeans just a bit wider than the skinnys.

Who was it who bought some from Gap like that? Was it NDP?
Anyway...

Like moondogs idea, also maybe a white linen skirt, not long though!

nailpolish · 02/04/2006 11:59

you cant wear them with a skirt, they are too clumpy, would ruin a pretty skirt.

wear with flared jeans

maybe tight capri pants, at a stretch, on holiday, maybe not for walking around edinburgh

i dont know how you can wear these shoes, i get shooting pains along the front of my shins

expatinscotland · 02/04/2006 12:12

i took ballet for 12 years. i can wear heels!

OP posts:
nailpolish · 02/04/2006 13:20

do you not have to curl your toes to walk in them without them falling off? i do and it gives me shin pain

(is it only me?)

total PITA!

expatinscotland · 02/04/2006 13:23

nope. between pointe shoes and rock climbing shoes, my toes are wicked strong!

OP posts:
Bozza · 02/04/2006 21:16

cod · 02/04/2006 21:16

Nbg · 02/04/2006 21:18

I think the answer to this expat is to just forward them on to me.

Wink
expatinscotland · 02/04/2006 21:33

they make the calves look REALLY good b/c of the heel height . . .

hmmm . . .

OP posts:
Bozza · 02/04/2006 21:34
