Where does your DH/male partner buy his clothes?

That's it really. My DH is in desperate need of new clothes. He pretty much wears everything until it is worn out, so very rarely goes shopping. I really don't want to be a wife that buys all her husband's clothes for him, but a few pointers would be great!

He has done v well at TK Maxx lately although I did have to drag him kicking and screaming...

Gap and Uniqlo. I am not allowed to buy him any clothes!

Are you married to my DH? He's 'tall' (not massively, but enough that regular is too short) so the options are worse;

Most of the stuff I buy him comes from eBay or American tshirt sites (places like shirtpunch, teefury etc as he's a massive geek).

Work = Thomas Pink and TM Lewin for shirts. Church for shoes. Suits are made for him (not remotely as expensive as it sounds).

Playtime = Ralph Lauren jeans and chinos. Combats from Gap. Sweaters/shirts/tees/hoodies from all over (Tommy Hilfiger/Boss/Crew...you name it).

He bought a lot of stuff recently from Pretty Green. Great jackets and polo shirts...

Oh my God. Only ever Asda. Under duress and only when everything is worn out. He is terrible.

If I didn't get him stuff he'd be down to the stuff from deceased relatives.

He only buys new clothes about once every ten years (& I am not joking ) - used to go to some incredibly old fashioned gentleman's outfitter type of place because he got good service.

Usually he wears what I pick up at the charity shop or jumble sale.

Very - my DF (in his 80s) is still wearing my brothers' cast off hoodies etc !!!

Fortunately neither of us are interested in looking fashionable so it doesn't really matter - I think I would be horrified to have a DH who went clothes shopping 'as a hobby' or set foot in somewhere like Joules. Equally, I acknowledge that the fact we are both so scruffy and unkempt would horrify many mumsnetters !!!

For some reason everything Ted Baker makes suits and fits DP perfectly - suits, shirts, knitwear and shoes.

I'm chuckling at the idea of bespoke suits not being at expensive as they sound (especially when mentioned alongside 80 quid a pop shirts from Pink, and 300 plus for shoes from Church's)!

Hm, actually I should qualify that. He spends more per item, but doesn't often shop. Whereas I buy heaps of tat from cheap shops all the time.

He doesn't, really - unless he has to. The only thing he actively orders / chooses himself are geeky t-shirts online. Otherwise it's the nearest thing that fits.

Bluegrass, I think Thomas Pink have regular 3 for 2 deals so you never actually have to pay £80 per shirt.

And my dad buys Church's shoes - has 3 pairs on the go in different styles, looks after them and they last a decade before being relegated to gardening duty. I wish I shared his sense of good value when it came to clothes - It would save me a packet and I'd have loads more wardrobe space! Easier for men's clothes high, I think.

Next, Debenhams, M&S, although, he sometimes finds the odd top in River Island and tshirts in Primark.

Gap for jeans.

Independent local shops for t-shirts, jumpers etc.
TM Lewin for work shirts.
Paul Smith sale shop when he's feeling swanky.
