There is a surprisingly good pair of straightlegged shortarse jeans, too. I do like shops with decent 'petite' (shudder) ranges.

beetroot · 29/03/2006 12:04

wearing the trousers with heeled calf lenght bots today and they look great.

I always wear black ...my staple..

motherinferior · 29/03/2006 12:05

I've recently shifted to very very very dark brown which is a lot less draining, I have to say.

beetroot · 29/03/2006 12:06

I got fed up with looking quite ill all winter. It was a huge effort to break through into very dark brown but it's paid off.

Ah! Wallis - I thought that this store was my guilty secret. It's an odd shop - there is some really naff stuff there but also some great buys. I've bought a couple of fantastic jackets there (a gold one that looks about 10x more expensive than it was) and some trousers that actually fit. Maybe it's time for a trip to Marble Arch.....

And yes - brown, brown, brown. Way more flattering to the skin than black but with the same slimming effect (should one happen to need it!).

nailpolish · 29/03/2006 12:41

i bought some white wide legged trousers this morning

thought i would try them on ofr a laugh as i really like d them and they were nice on

need taken up though
