what do you use to apply cream blush?

Just bought a Nars compact in orgasm / south beach. Didn't really twig it was cream blush [dense].

I usually do the swipe over my face thing in the shape of the '3' with bronzer first and use a brush.

what can I use for the new stuff? At the moment it's my fingers which doesn't feel very grown up. A small sponge?

Fingers here too, but you can use a small sponge or even get a synthetic brush. Fingers are easiest though with cream blushers IME.

ha ha ha in a million years I did not think anyone else would say 'fingers', I thought I would be ridiculed.

Ok fingers it is, excellent. Round the face and across the top of the cheekbones is OK?

If you are using a foundation brush, you can use that for your cream blush as well. A Bobbi Brown assistant taught me that and it works quite well.

Pat it on in the usual pattern. Doesn't seem to have the effect of dragging off the foundation underneath.

A small Bobbi Brown powder brush- dabbed on apples of cheeks and then swept up towards temples as instructed by BB make up artist.

I use fingers but mine really doesn't last. Don't know how to make it sty on more than a few hours

More control and it melts from body temperature so it's easier to work into skin.
I use Nars Cap Vert very single day. Under cheekbones - it's a very light colour, then a dot of highlighter on the cheeks.

I use a foundatio brush and think it gives s much better finish than fingers. I just have a cheapy Boots one but like the effect a lot.

stippling brush so you don't swipe away your foundation that's underneath, then pat with fingers to finish?

I think the sainted Lisa Eldrige taps cream blusher on with her fingers, and if she does it, it's plenty good enough for the likes of me. I've found that the liquid blushers like Make Up Forever HD and the M&S Limited Collection gels last longer than Bobbi Brown or Urban Decay cream blushes.
