my mum has just anounced that she will be getting married again this december . wont be a big do , a registry office town hall and then a meal somwhere afterwards .

what should i wear ?

How would you feel about a smart trouser suit that you could wear afterwards as separates? With heeled courts, a beautiful buttonhole and maybe something pretty in your hair?

sounds lovely! i usually wear jeans , striped tops , pretty blouses that kind of thing all quite casual so obviously dont want to go in jeans ! dont think i would wear trouser suit much afterwards really.
the only dress i have is a joules one with a duck pattern , so i dont suppose that would be any good. unless i went for the quirky look with faux fur or something, that would be wrong...right?

I would wear a dress, with a lovely jacket, good accessories the duck one could work - do you have a link?

Another option would be if you are having any night out after it then whatever you wear could be worn again?

it says tunic dress but its a dress on me , i am short !

A brightly coloured coat in red or bright blue might help lift your dress (which is nice but not sure it is quite right for a celebration, just think you need more colour but if you feel good in it then go for it.)

Yumi is good for dresses (and pretty blouses/tunics) that suit petite people and Dorothy Perkins have some great dresses just now that are not expensive but maybe would work. What is your figure like thriftychic? What shoes would you wear?

What's you mum wearing? If she's dressing smart casually, you don't want to out glam her so the duck dress may be fine...?

ah yes, yumi, will have a look. no idea re shoes all i have at the mo is some ankle boots (heeled) so probably have to buy some .
dont know what my mum will be wearing , i know it wont be a traditional wedding dress or anything but she always dresses up so probably a bright coloured dress and heels .
