I want these boots, but in leather, not suede. Help. Please

I am sick of spending loads on suede boots (which I love, but never lasts more than a winter or two, despite repeated spraying of protector stuff).

I want basically exactly these boots, but in brown leather. Definitely not black. They need to have the ankle split and some sort of buckle over the ankle. Also love these similar ones but also insanely expensive and basically the same as the Mango ones.

Budget up to about £250 for the perfect pair.

Help. Please. Much love and adulation will be dispensed to anyone who can find me them.

studs no splits

shopafrolic · 29/09/2012 08:48

And I'm done! Smile

Hate Uggs but saw these today and loved them. The leather is beautiful. Actually there were a few pairs of Uggs that I'd have happily worn - not those sheep skin things though.

Just interested to see if the OP found the perfect boot?! Partly because I loved the Mango ones you linked to and ordered them-they arrived this morning and I am sitting here trying to work out if suede is a good idea?! I love them though.......

threestepsforward · 24/10/2012 13:45

Tiredmule what are the toes like on the mango boots? I'm looking for a boot with a round toe, rather than almondy shape! They look gorgeous Smile

TiredMule · 24/10/2012 14:05

Threesteps-they are roundy-almondy....if that makes sense?! I have to be careful with the shape of boots and shoes as I am a freak have weird toes that are nearly all the same length if i'm honest i think my middle toe is the longest but these are great! Haven't been much help have I?! I'll get them back out the box later and look again for you!

threestepsforward · 24/10/2012 16:20

Thanks Tiredmule!

Fellow toe freak here Smile Mine get squashed very easily, on the underneath, so have to get quite round/wide toed shoes and boots...

They do look lovely, am v tempted!

threestepsforward · 24/10/2012 16:23

These boots from Dune I love, can't remember whether I found them through MN - but the toe looks too narrow for me...

Sorry for the delay threesteps, we have the lurgy! Looking at them again, they are quite almondy, but not pointy, I don't know why they fit me ok! I'm still undecided about them, as I'm not sure about the colour and if it looks ok with dark skinnies and leggings? Looks great on the model with lighter jeans.

Anyone seen very similar, in a darker colour and preferably cheaper?!!

Turquoiseblue · 30/10/2012 08:34

what about these beauties

or these a little too embesslished maybe

i just want to link these beacause i want them and they re lovely but maybe to high a heel for what you want

These are probably too black ? But they are lovely too (My sister had them and they reallyu are lovely! here

Turquoiseblue · 30/10/2012 08:42

oops embellished - darn typos!

Hopefully · 30/10/2012 09:31

Ooh, it's my thread! Love it when once you've forgotten about pops up again.

I didn't order the Mango boots in the end, decided they were too floppy for me. I did order these but the 41 was too small so am waiting on a 42. They're not quite what I want, but budget constraints and boredom of wearing the same pair of boots every single day has prevailed!

I like those hopefully they would be perfect for me if they were floppy!

Has anyone seen anything the same style but floppy?

Turquoiseblue · 30/10/2012 11:54

Hopefully if you could do a 41 there s a nice tan pair in 41 - rag and bone - in the out net might be worth a look

Jaeme · 30/10/2012 12:45

These come in brown and have the ankle buckle and a split at the top where the top buckle is.

I have the longer version of these (Gillespie) and they run small - most sites say to size up. I went up half a size and it was fine but they don't seem to have the half sizes on the uk site.

TapselteerieO · 30/10/2012 13:21

These Office boots might fit the bill? They have buckles and sort of slight split? They are tan though, I still prefer the Mango boots.

I have suede dilemma too, I am rubbish at looking after boots, but bought these burgundy <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=www.office.co.uk/images/product/zoom/1123760206_z1.jpg&imgrefurl=www.office.co.uk/womens/office/dusk_till_dawn/10/12282/34467/1/&usg=__4KT01TS_MKi6yXFbRKa3u5nUm2s=&h=1150&w=1200&sz=162&hl=en&start=1&zoom=1&tbnid=TxZFwQQvHi0R1M:&tbnh=144&tbnw=150&ei=udOPUObQAemn0AXyoIHgDw&prev=/search%3Fq%3Doffice%2Bdusk%2Btill%2Bdawn%2Bburgundy%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Den%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">boots, I like the colour of them though but I already have one slightly shiny patch. They were a bargain though so I am trying not to worry too much about it...

TapselteerieO · 30/10/2012 13:24

Oops, see you have found a pair!
