Saggy neck at 36 years old??!!!

Hi, I know I'm going to be told to get a grip and that everybody gets older and there's nothing that can be done about it etc but I'm honestly quite upset about this.

I'm 'only' 36 and didn't think that my neck would start to sag until I was in my mid 40s or older but all of a sudden, and it really has been in the last few weeks, the skin on my neck has started to look distinctly crinkly :(

I can't believe this is happening so early! I moisturise and always put sunblock on my face and neck all the year round. I'm not skinny and haven't lost lots of weight recently. I don't smoke and haven't done since my teens (and even that was only for a few months).

Is there anything I can do to slow this down??? I know that reversing it is likely to be impossible, just don't want it to get loads worse as quickly as it's started to happen. It's weird, I'm fairly ok with getting grey hairs and wrinkles round my eyes but this feels like so much more of a shock and a bigger signifier of age tbh.

Does your mother have a saggy neck? If she does, it's probably inherited. I have a good friend who has this problem (although she was maybe 41 when she first started to make comments about it). She claims her mother has the same issue, but I never knew her mother. A lot of stuff, however, is inherited. I've noticed, for instance, as my 30s have progressed that my nose is starting to look more like my father's. This does not make me happy, but it does make me realise there's probably not a lot I can do about, bar having a nose job!

Yes, my mum does. Although I've only noticed it in the last few years (she's 60) when it's become very pronounced. No idea whether it began in her 30s or not. She's got really bad lip wrinkles too despite never having smoked, and I am starting to get them too.
