Hi I have really stupid skinny calves and knee high boots look stupid on me. Like wellies. Unless I wear them with too baggy jeans then I look like a farmer :(

I would love some riding style brown knee high boots. Does anyone know of any?

I am a UK size 4 (EUR 37).

Ive just bought these I have thin calves too and although they are not tight against my leg they look really good, I wear skinny jeans and knee high knitted boot socks with them which looks fab Grin

I have two pairs of Duo going strong after several years. Also, last year I bought black LK Bennett riding boots which are perfect on my mega-skinny calves. Pricey but lovely!

HidingUnderMyDuvet · 30/10/2013 20:40

Another one voting for Duo boots. I was so happy when I found them, and haven't looked back since. My favourite boots I wear for most of winter, and can't complain about the quality.

Try Jones the Bootmaker. They have some lovely styles in and for some reason some of them seem to be particularly narrow this year. I have some from previous years that fit perfectly but when I tried some a few weeks ago there were a couple of styles I couldn't zip up. I am a dress size 10 so not exactly chunky (I blame the cycling I have been doing this year).

My mum has skinny calves and after shopping last weekend, she found that some Carvela and M&S boots (cannot see them online right now) worked for her.

sarahlou66 · 01/11/2013 17:17

have just measured my calves as 30cm & have size 7 feet - will try some of the options above !!

Doinmummy · 01/11/2013 19:42

I've just bought a pair from M&S very snug round my skinny calves. Only £35 too

RobinVanPrissy · 01/11/2013 19:59

Where do you lot get boot socks / legwarmers from? Struggling to find online.

Pollywallywinkles · 01/11/2013 20:53

I have the same problem and used to get my boots from River Island, although haven't been there for a couple of years as the heels got so high. I've gone for ankle boots this year from M&S and Clarks.

JoanyY · 02/12/2013 15:34

Try Shoon www.shoon.com. I have been shopping for decent fitting knee highs in size 8/9, for 33cm calves for ages and finally found the perfect pair.
They have a range of slim fit boots, they are very reasonably priced (about £150) and actually feel good quality.
As for Duo, I really want to like the brand but agree with past comments that the look and feel of their boots isn't really worth the money. The last two pairs I have tried have been massive around the ankle as well.

LaFataTurchina · 02/12/2013 17:20

I've solved this problem by buying boots from the girls/teens sections efore. Only works if your looking for something fairly plain and are a shoe size 5 or lower though.

As well as the calf I find the ankle bit too wide on women's boots for some reason.

Hi Just bought some black gabor supra boots from amazon for skinny legs and they fit great. I think they also do them in brown. My calf circumference is only 33cm and I have thin ankles too and would definitely recommend these. cost was £140.25 but got 20% off by registering to receive fashion emails from Amazon. Fit much better than duo boots.

Rubybrazilianwax · 07/01/2014 19:43

I have had a few pairs taken in by a shoe mender. Its worthwhile asking in your local menders if they do this. Works best on plain boots with a zip, not on anything that has a feature or pattern

If you have 12 inch calves then solemani boots would be a good fit. If your calves measure between 12.5 - 13.5 inches then like me, you get to choose from some cute looking tall boots here - calfhuggingboots.com/tall-narrow-calf-boots-for-slim-legs/
