Is it warm enough to wear to the park in winter?
If I buy my normal size will there be room for a jumper underneath?
Are they true to size? Boden sizes are all over the shop IMO.

Just.... don't do it. So many nicer alternatives, try seasalt, petit bateau, anywhere really.

I wore mine all through spring- winter with a jumper underneath when needed. Only wore something warmer on snowy days.

I was between sizes and went for the bigger size which I was glad of due to the sleeves not being the longest (I am tall). I never felt squashed into it but could have perhaps got the smaller size if I didn't have the arm issue, although I'd rather have more room than too tight. This was last years.

I love it and get complements on it all the time even though it needs a trip to the dry cleaners.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 16/09/2012 20:21

I got mine a few years ago. I find it quite stiff, not that warm and not very waterproof. I wouldn't buy another.

Dereksmalls · 16/09/2012 22:33

Please, please, please don't get a patterned one - you will look like an overgrown 5 year old and won't be able wear with anything other than jeans. Plain ones look nice in the catelogue but patterned ones I've seen in the street without fail have left me a bit Shock

Dereksmalls · 16/09/2012 22:33

catalogue - sorry...

yellowdandelion · 16/09/2012 23:08

I agree, can't really wear them out with smarter stuff but I love my patterned one and as I said, often get complements (I am sure they are not lying).

shoppingbagsundereyes · 17/09/2012 10:09

Am thinking about the plain black one which is more charcoal than harsh black. I rarely wear smarter stuff although do wear denim skirts etc. does it look odd with skirts?

I have two! I have a plain red one without the fleecy lining which is lovely but I need to sell it as it's now too big, and I've bought myself this one this year which I'm looking forward to wearing. It's lovely quality and the pattern isnt too lairy.

I think the black or beige could be worn a bit more smart if you wanted but I only wear mine for casual, with jeans, or denim skirt tights and boots.

theoriginalandbestrookie · 17/09/2012 12:48

I'm glad you aren't going for a brightly patterned one OP have seen people with these and I feel they are too distinctive and not in a good way.

I have a Boden raincoat but I'm not overly fond of it primarily because it isn't particularly water proof - having said that I can't think of anywhere else that has a better option as I am constantly on the holy grail for the perfect raincoat with hood.

BonnyDay · 17/09/2012 13:23

Yellow i think people comment on the patterned ones as they are so bright oyu cant not

BonnyDay · 17/09/2012 13:23

oh its you shopping.
i have 12, ig always fitted

yellowdandelion · 17/09/2012 14:06

I think I can tell when people are being genuine. I don't really care what people think of what I wear and only had one comment from a friend about it being a bit bright for we tastes. I'm fact, two people have bought one for themelves afte seeing mine so there.

yellowdandelion · 17/09/2012 14:07

*her taste

shoppingbagsundereyes · 17/09/2012 14:36

So Bonny, shall I get the plain one? Will I need a 12 or 14 do you reckon? Am currently a bit porky again but back on pre-new York fat club
