Nursing bras - getting measured

monkeysmama · 15/09/2012 12:31

I need to get measured and to buy some new nursing bras. A woman came to my house and measured me when I was pg. The bras I bought from her are great for bed but give me no support at all. I'm about a size 34H. I can get anywhere in London. Would Bravissimo be best? Do Rigby & Peller sell nursing bras?

TIA

Royce nursing bras are good. I was 34/36 J and they've been great. Mine are almost 5 years old now Blush and Still ok but my boobs are smaller so will need new ones.

Thanks Bunt. Shall have a look.

I have to get measured though and haven't a clue where to go.

Bravissimo definitely do nursing bra fitting - I don't know about R&P but would guess they do to

Based on reviews, don't touch Mothercare with a 10 foot bargepole!

Yes, the last time I asked Mothercare to measure it was a farce. Will try bravissimo I think. Thank you.

M and S are rubbish if you have big boobs. I was a 34h when I got home from hospital and I found Freya to be the best.

Ugh I thought Royce were shit! No support at all, very droopy!

I have two from HotMilk in 34GG (I think) which are nice, but I'm not sure they go as big as an H.

Try Bravissimo but try all their soft cup bras, they don't do many nursing bras.

BeauNeidel · 15/09/2012 21:05

This one? I have bought from this site before and they were good.

BeauNeidel · 15/09/2012 21:06

And also, the Anita ones are sized the same way as ours but are actually a cup size smaller, just in case you were wondering!

monkeysmama · 15/09/2012 21:12

I have a few Hot Milk ones which are alright. Not found anything I really like yet and nothing that fits properly. Bravissimo to be measured it is.

Thanks for the sizing info too.

I have found that (especially) with soft cup/nursing bras the straps are much stretchier. I sew mine into place once I have fitted them and find it much better. Don't end up with my boobs by my knees after a hard days slog!

Also, how old old your baby? Mine is nearly 11 months and still bf, I need a new bf bra but tbh because he doesn't feed nearly so much I make do with a regular bra and a nursing vest for night time. If he/she is tiny then defo get new ones though!
