Hi,

There are loads of clothes out there to suit all shapes.

A blazer is always great, I have 6 - pink, black, navy, cream and 2 printed pattern ones. They go great with jeans, a plain top and either pumps or heels / boots. Primark do great blazers for £15.

Oversized shirts I think are always great, I live in them. They make me feel smart without putting in a load of effort.

Always team with a long necklace - topshop do the best jewelery and even at £12 for a necklace - they are worth the money.

Hope this helps a little Smile

Accessorize. It's amazing how you can perk up even the most ordinary and comfortable outfit with the right shoes, a belt, necklace and earrings, etc.

I know how you feel I'm 21 a new mum and really frumpy Sad

Jalopeno · 13/09/2012 17:14

A blazer
Well fitting black or indigo jeans
New heels or ankle boots
Blouses
Skinny belts/scarves/statement necklace

All of the above can be bought in Zara

Think I need to buy a blazer.

Can't do blouses as my norks are huge.

I'm a frump, and most of my clothes are only worth snotting on.

racingheart · 16/09/2012 14:39

Outing myself as utterly clueless, but what on earth is a blazer? I only know them as those shapeless wool jackets small boys have to wear when they start secondary school.

Can anyone link to some gorgeous blazers? If I wore what I think is a blazer with an overshize shirt underneath I'd look like a cross-dresser or some woman who has borrowed her husband's clothes cos she can't fit into hers any more. I'm guessing this isn't the de-frumping look you have in mind?

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 16/09/2012 14:46

What blazers are out there for the curvy and large of Norks?

talkingnonsense · 16/09/2012 14:49

Tbh unless you are quite chic and willowy I think blazers can make you look older, fine if you're 25 but dodgy at 40 iyswim.

You could get a nice non mummy ish handbag? A scarf might look good if you are tall?

What were you wearing that felt frumpy?

JustAnotherLlama · 16/09/2012 14:50

Style advice needed here too! New mum, feeling frumpy. Can't wear any of the high necked tops due to feeding so stuck in the same 2 outfits day in day out! Help?!

SloeFarSloeGood · 16/09/2012 18:38

Jersey dress
Slim trousers
A cashmere cardigan
Ankle boots
A detailed long sleeved top

forevergreek · 16/09/2012 18:46

Good scarf
Good jacket
Good boots

Can smarten a lot of things with the above

Would also recommend leggings with casual dress/ tunic
