Seriously - just saw that thread and I do think that skinnies with flats is quite a challenging look - I couldn't do it without looking dumpy. But that doesn't mean skinnies are out.

I live in scotland, it's wet and we get snow in the winter therefore I will stick to jeans which I can tuck into boots (wellies, snow boots, etc) so I can safely say I won't be on trend with wide legged troos

Sorry. I was a bit OTT. But I still believe that style is far more flattering than fashion. If skinnies suit you then wear them. I can't see everyone suddenly stopping wearing skinnies any more than people suddenly stopped wearing bootcut.

The shops are full of all styles of jeans so I don't believe that there is one particular style that is particularly "in" any more than there are any that are particularly out.

I tend to wear straights as they suit me better than any other style. Skinnies don't suit me and just scream out fashion victim. Bootcut suit me as well and I still wear mine.
