What products can I use to make it silky and shiny? Do I need a treatment, shampoo, conditioner, spray? I can dry and straighten it to look ok but never as lovely as it looks when I come out of the salon!please help me get it looking right!x

Also, use a product before you dry it. Do you use anything on it before you dry it or straighten it? It makes a big difference.

My hair is pretty normal but rota get occasional dry ends. It's v thick tho and sucks water in! I use frizz ease after washing and a heat protector spray when straightening but it doesn't make it glossy and shiney. Thanks both for your help!

Honestly the best thing you can do is start using a salon shampoo and condition! Kerastase and redden are fab! I know they cost more than high street but they really do last longer and once you start using them you will notice a bug difference if you switched back and the do last a lot longer!

silly question but how do you wash and condition you hair? You'd be amazed at how many people don't do it correctly!

Ermm, I wet my hair then put shampoo on top of my head. Rub it in and along to the ends. Rinse it, put conditioner on ends leave for a bit and rinse.....I think :)

I really rate the l'oreal elvive range. They do a smooth intense shampoo and conditioner. Then I use an intensive conditioner a couple of times per week. It's also by l'oreal but comes in a little tub. I have also started using the l'oreal miracle oil type stuff. It was £9.99 but worth every penny. You can use it in lots of ways but I apply to damp hair before drying for best results.

You need to shampoo your hair twice, condition once. Don't use more shampoo then what you need, think 50p size blob.
