To those of you that tidy up your lady bits what do use ? I normally shave but am fed up having a fanjo that looks like it's been attacked by a broken bottle...Or should I just let it hang loose and look like an Afghan hound...?

I use scissors or a lady shave thing that you can choose the length of pubes to leave

NellyBluth · 10/09/2012 21:13

Nail scissors to tidy up and keep it short, don't bother with a separate bikini line.

Ah, the things we share online... Hmm

CoteDAzur · 10/09/2012 21:16

Scissors all around + a no-strip wax like this one on bikini line.

ceeveebee · 10/09/2012 21:20

I go and get it waxed at a local salon. Only about £12

hugandroll · 10/09/2012 21:26

I shave and am currently sporting a painful shave rash. I'm too scared to get it waxed but surely the pain is over with quickly and after its all good. Waxers, is this true or does it hurt for ages?

AWomanCalledHorse · 10/09/2012 21:28

Immac. Or whatever it's called now.
The normal stuff (that says 'Never ever put near lady bits on pain of death', I have sensitive skin around there but it's honestly never been a problem)....only downside is the stink.

PrimaBallerina · 10/09/2012 22:00

Cold wax strips to shape the front - Boots own are as good as Veet and then trim short with the clippers attachment of lady shave thingy. Then use the epilator attachment to strip the undercarriage and any strays towards the, er, bum area Blush clean off.

It takes a bit of practise and some courage but it's more thorough than a salon and is rash free.

Melanthe · 11/09/2012 09:25

primaballerina you epilate your undercarriage Shock do you have any tips/tricks for not making that extremely painful?

BupcakesandCunting · 11/09/2012 09:27

In PoundLand (no, listen!) they do these tiny razors especially for the fanjo area. I used them on holiday to tidy up the topiary and they were really good! A quid for about 5 I think.

Northey · 11/09/2012 09:35

You epilate your undercarriage? Shock

I am an epilator addict, and feel no pain anywhere apart from there, where it is too excruciating to continue. How on earth do you do it?

rockandahardplace2012 · 11/09/2012 09:50

I wax, costs about £14 every 5 - 6 weeks it does hurt for a few seconds after the strip is ripped off but after that its fine

NotYouNaanBread · 11/09/2012 09:58

I've just started getting waxed at a salon & it's brilliant. Don't know why I waited until 33 to do it. Easier, tidier, lasts forever.

openerofjars · 11/09/2012 18:57

Flymo & strimmer twice a year, regular-like, whether it needs it or not.

PrimaBallerina · 11/09/2012 19:22

Ooh I feel all 'ard now...

I just pull the skin tight and grit my teeth. I've been doing it so long it doesn't seem that painful. I can't remember how I felt the first time.

Mintyy · 11/09/2012 19:27

All AGOG at PrimaBallerina.

I have been epilating my legs for 20+ years and wouldn't even wince now. But your undergrowth hair? I can't even begin to imagine the position you have to adopt. How can you be certain that your dh or dc won't suddenly appear at your elbow?

piratecat · 11/09/2012 19:28

where can you buy the Nair no strip wax??

Northey · 11/09/2012 19:38

I am so envious of you, primaballerina. I must try harder. Maybe I have the hair too long to start with.
