Meant to say I'm asking for help because I've lost my way. No longer do I feel happy in jeans and a t shirt. I feel GROSE.

What do you want help with? You say you've just had dd3- and you're breast feeding- perhaps you should give yourself a break!!!
Of course you have a mummy tummy- you've just given birth!

Personally, I think it's really hard to lose proper weight when you're sleep deprived. If you start doing calorie deficit type stuff, you start not having the energy to deal with the DC and to cope with the broken sleeps.

You've obviously put up lots of weight in a fairly short space of time and you feel miserable about it. Maybe make a plan to begin doing certain things when baby is 3 months or 6 months, but if you have very recently given birth, seriously, you have plenty of time. I had 4 DC in 4 years- I know how full on it is- trust me, you need all the energy you can get.
When the time is right, cut out the snacks and the kids leftovers, and do more exercise and know that you can get back to Pre baby size, with effort!

Oh I should have said- I'm not worrying about weight loss till Christmas. It's pointless.

I need clothes while im this size though!!

am not at all fashionable so there will be someone along shortly who knows about this stuff. but i am still BF DD and find dresses such as these quite useful and a change from jeans and t shirt. Might not be as dressy as you need to be though if you work? Also lots of layering tops (for easy feeding) with skinny jeans.

I too have lost my way a bit, but I spend more time than i should a bit of time reading on here and am slowly starting to take an interest again. what type of things do you like? what kind of shops?

OnlyWantsOne · 10/09/2012 17:28

I need advice about jeans / trousers - what shape / fit should I get?
What footwear to buy? I only have flip flops at the moment. Genuinely we moved house when I was pregnant and I chucked EVERYTHING

Do you need to feed when you're out, or is it a quick school run and then home?

Wrap round tops are great, as are wrap dresses. M&S had that body scanner thing in store last Saturday, which scans you and recommends a jeans shape. I would say, a heeled boot with boot cut would be the most slimming on you. Boot cut jeans aren't exactly in at the moment- would that bug you? What's your budget?
My top weight was 12 stone 10 at 5 foot eight, and I was bursting out of my size 16s, so I reckon you have some major boobage going on. Have you tried putting your info into Dressip, to get some tailored advice?

Winter fat dressing is easier,IMO- has it turned cold where you are yet?

No heels. I'm 25... And I would fall over.

Converse / pumps etc

Before I was fat I wore skinny jeans & converse & either black or white t shirts. That was it.

I'm same height and size.

I have four pairs of these and cannot live without them..slim but not super skinny, comfy and practical.. M&s jeggings

I wear with loose fitting tops.tunics.t shirts, keeping top half a bit looser to balance out slim fitting bottom half.

On my feet it's ballet flats or ankle boots.recently bought these from clarks and they are comfy but smart

Definitely the best time to be post natal, you can cover up with layers.

This time last year I was in leggings, smock tops, long cardigans, boots (flat boots, I walked a lot!). Fat face and white stuff are good as they have tops etc that are loose over the tummy and tops that are low so you can reach a boob to feed.

I also wore DC3 in a sling (partly so that I could get away with a single buggy) but some of them look really nice (like this sort here )and quite frankly hid my poor tummy so I could wear dresses and things that I might not have done otherwise. It will get better, having x3 DC's in 5 years is hard on the figure at first but this time next year you will be running around after them so much that you will be back in your skinny jeans and converse pumps.

OnlyWantsOne · 10/09/2012 22:14

OOO I like the jeggings

Find flat boots and a long cardigan that you adore (try looking on the million and 1 boot threads on Mumsnet. And cardigans are pretty well everywhere - Fat Face, White Company, White Stuff, John Lewis - all online. Go for one with a bit of warmth!). Then everything else can be hidden under them - leggings, long shirt with front access, vest tops, T shirts, jeggings - all of which can be picked up quite cheaply. And a scarf or 2 for mobile feeds. (Oh and new pants that fit ... always makes you feel more slender and glamorous!)

OnlyWantsOne · 11/09/2012 12:26

What sort of boots?

OP posts:
musttidyupmusttidyup · 11/09/2012 13:33

Leggings/jeggings/skinnies with long tunics or layer up with long sleeved tops (h and m) and looser t shirts on top, or vest tops then t shirt (one up and one down for feeding) some nice boots (fly yule super comfy and bit of a heel but no good for big calfs, or Asda had some great leather long boots for £40 last winter). Nice long cardis and scarfs are your friend.
