Roomy sweater dress

Can anyone find me a really nice jumper dress, cabled or textured preferably, with enough space for a baby bump? I'm having a winter baby and would like to be warm before and after, and have given up on finding one in a maternity range, so was hoping I could find a non maternity one that i could squeeze into. Any suggestions?

How about this? . I am reliably informed via MN that this is a good brand and have just placed my very first order today. Apparently sizing is generous.

Worth a look on ebay.

Lots here

Love both of those. I have a Henley dress from Hush which is now 2 years old and still going strong. Here is this year's offering .

Do you know what, I'm sorry but I don't think those styles of dresses are going to work as maternity, nice though they are. The cut of jumper dresses generally tends to be fairly narrow through the waist and hips so anything big enough to accommodate a baby bump would have a huge top/shoulders. You may get away with one til around 6m but after that it would be no good.

Have you thought about a thinner, looser, tunic style dress that you could put long sleeved finer knits and tights/leggings underneath?

Of course maternity sweater dresses like the linked eBay ones from gobblers will work.

I am a bit in agreement with Sleepwhenidie, Celtic Sheepskins stuff (because it is such good quality) tends to be very dense and fairly un stretchy ime, you almost want something cheap and cheerful in a fine knit that will stretch loads.

Also cabling will make you look truely massive, which you may or may not mind.

thanks for the suggestions, i might be better off with a cardigan instead then maybe? I am a bit concerned that the bump in front might make the material stretch at the back in an unflattering way which might be best avoided. I'm quite petite (usually 8-10) but tend to balloon in later pregnancy. I think I'll go and try a few things on before committing myself.
